I keep saying it and I'll say it again: The NFL needs to take some of its billions in profit and UPGRADE the freakin equipment!

Yeah concussions are serious. Not sure what they could do at this stage. It seems to me that almost every other "tackle" is jut a hit instead of a wrap up tackle.

I guess the equipment kinda gets in the way.

Companies are researching and spending millions of dollars every year developing new technology to prevent concussions and other injuries....NFL players have the option to utilize specially created anti-concussion helmets that were released two years ago....they CHOOSE not to...here is the helmet specifically designed for it...DeSean Jackson wears it.

EDIT: A concussion occurs when your brain rattles around in your skull...there is no possibility to prevent that 100%. Unless someone can cut into your skull and add cushioning, concussions are going to happen even from just hitting the ground.

2. NFL players have the CHOICE to use these helmets or not.
3. Concussions take place by your brain rocking inside your skull.
4. No type of helmet is capable of 100% preventing your brain from moving within your skull if hit hard enough.
5. You stated "NFL equipment is outdated and the NFL should improve the equipment to prevent concussions." (not verbatim)

You are 110% misinformed by YOUR opinion and everything I stated 1-4 is 100% fact.
