Should be a decent game between Sea and GB tonight. Russell's been playing well and I obviously used to root for him last year. Hope he gets his head ripped off tonight though lol! Well that's a little extreme..

Packers got robbed big time. Even watching the game on TV you can plainly see that was an interception..........plus there was clear offensive pass interference.

I hope they keep these refs for the whole season. It'll be the greatest Super Bowl ever!

Wow. These past three weeks, as horrible officiating as there have been, I've brushed it all off because there are so many calls that the real refs miss. It's just part of the game. But last night's game had to be one of the worst called games ever, if not, the worst. And that was all around. I'm also not one to blame refs on any loss. Yes, we could've done more to not be put in that situation. But to miss a call that blatant! And after reviewing it as well!! These damn refs are ruining the game. I've felt like this more and more with every game I see. But this was the last straw. Listening to DP right now. There should be some statement that the league is going to release. This should be good!
Finally getting the NFL Network, I was planning on checking out the game Thursday. But now I know for sure I'm not. I'm also really considering boycotting until the real refs are back. So we'll see what Sunday. I fucking love what TJ Lang said:

After last nights game they need to fucking pay the REAL refs and stop this bullshit. Both refs were giving opposite signals! WTF....

No, they couldn't. It was stated several times last night that reviewing who caught the ball is not a reviewable play.
EDIT: Wow, apparently the announcers and former head of officiating, Mike Pereira were all wrong... According to an article today, only simultaneous catches can be reviewed in the end zone, but not the field of play.
I guess nobody knew.Last edited by Dave; 09-25-2012 at 19:11.

From the official statement that the league released today:
Replay Official Howard Slavin stopped the game for an instant replay review. The aspects of the play that were reviewable included if the ball hit the ground and who had possession of the ball. In the end zone, a ruling of a simultaneous catch is reviewable. That is not the case in the field of play, only in the end zone.

Also, while I believe it was an INT...Tate did catch the ball with one hand as well...
TBH, I think this is going to be remembered like the Tuck Rule....where "technically" the call could be considered correct (since two hands on the ball doesn't make it better than one when guys make one handed catches every week), but everyone knows it should've went a different way.

Man I almost lost my voice last night screaming at the tv lol. The whole thing reeks to me. As a GB fan, I can very easily swallow this loss. As a football fan I'm pretty angry about the situation. The fact that Goodell and the referee committee supports the call just disgusts me. These bad calls have been affecting games all season so far. Now they're deciding them. To support these kinds of plays just shits on the integrity of my favorite sport..

Yeah your right. But how refreshing would it be if these corporations, football or not, would actually come clean with honesty and admit their mistakes. More people would respect that IMO. I hate that these big wigs take the majority of us as idiots while trying to save face.
