Hate to break it to you D. Although he is really good, he's also pretty inconsistent, like Flacco, but to a lesser extent.

Does he have the potential of course he does everyone knows that. I think he needs to become the team leader and he's not. When you think of the ravens you think Ray Lewis.

Flacco needs to step up as a leader no one questions his talent and what he could be but he will never be that great QB until he steps up and leads the ravens. If its the coaching staff keeping him from doing so (which I don't believe is so) then they need to trade him.

Eli had the same problem early in his career. Tiki barber running his mouth as soon as barber retires giants win the super bowl lead by manning. Eli is playing lights out this season and when you watch the giants play you know he's the leader of that team with the ravens its about their defense or running game flacco is an afterthought because the line isn't protecting him enough to give him time to make a play.

Fair enough - I'll relax.

For the record - I do think Eli is elite. I was simply making the comparison in terms of demeanour (on and off) the field and numbers, and type of QBs they are. Of course the biggest and most important difference is Eli has won those rings.

I still find it hard to see some people doubt Eli. He may not always post big numbers - but he's there when it counts.

Have to agree with this. I can't stand listening to sports radio in Baltimore after a Ravens loss.

No way Flacco signs elsewhere but like you said I would like to see him go somewhere else and win a ring just for spite.

Rice is getting almost 5 yards a carry but they never want to run the ball. It just shows you that the talent on this team was carrying it through the lousy coaching. Now the talent is getting older and injured and the bad coaching is starting to show it's ugly face.

I'd take Eli over anyone not named Brees, Rodgers or Peyton or Brady or Ben. Everyone else haven't really proven anything despite their records and performances. After those guys, it'd be a short list Flacco (@home

), and RG3 and Luck for the future.

Until Ryan has proven he can do it without elite weapons (The SB winning QBs have all done this at some point) or basically doesn't have everything go his way (good coaching, solid o-line; elite targets) then I can't really say. May as well plug Kyle Boller in that Falcons system.

With better coaching and a better offensive line the ravens would be a way better team and not rely on their defense like they have done for years.

Flacco needs to lead that team the way Eli leads the giants. When u think of the ravens you think ray lewis ed reed their offense is an after thought and has been playing like it. They have too much talent on offense to play this way.

I would trade for their back field anyday over what we have now smh

All of you are missing the bigger picture here. Nobody would succeed in this offense with these players outside of Peyton Manning. These Wideouts cannot get off the press and even if they do, they'll betray you with drop balls. It's more so about the scheme here with this offense. I'm telling you, if Flacco was anywhere else (Dallas, NE, GB, ATL, hell even CAR) he would be on All-Pro teams. He is being held back by limited talent and coaching. I have no doubt in my mind. Does he make "WTF" moments every now and again? Hell yeah, but that's with any QB.

He's like Peyton and Brady. When their offensive lines are not playing up to par (As seen in many Raven games of the past) they get rattled and scared. We held Peyton to pedestrian Mark Sanchez-like numbers numerous times, but he gets a hall pass because of our offense not putting up points and because his team wins lol. Flacco is just like them both. He needs a clean pocket and time especially since these WRs can't get open.

But then again... I'm a Flacco Apologist. I just know people aren't seeing the big picture. But the rules have changed in today's football. Where you're only elite with rings and 6,000 yards passing and 70 TD's and a passer rating of 190. I get it. I honestly do. lol

lol pretty sure Rodgers had weapons when they won the superbowl so did brees, brady and both mannings....so whats wrong with matty having the weapons he has now? dont worry flacco will get his chance but as for now, he/the ravens are not going to make it...

even tho i'm a falcons fan, the ravens are one of those teams i want to see win a superbowl just because of ray and ed reed. those two deserve a ring...guess its not going to be this year
