Chiefs player kills girlfriend, then kills himself.

54th Street and Chrysler Avenue
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Police are investigating two deadly shootings Saturday morning that they said are related.

The shootings involve a Chiefs player and his girlfriend.

The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility.

Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself.

It's unknown if people were at Arrowhead or any of its surrounding facilities at the time.

Sometimes the humor in it helps ease some of the grief that people feel when they see/read stuff like this. I mean, the infant child is a victim of this. While the other two don't have to bare any responsibility for their future, the child is going to be scared for life to some extent.

That's not fair at all. We don't know all the specifics and, yes, what he did was terrible but we don't know the agenda or motive behind all of this. It could have been a mental illness that his family had a history with or it could have been caused by the repeated blows to the head. Or, you could be right, and it could just be a guy who snapped and did some terrible things.

The fact that he told Crennell, Pioli, and the LB Coach that he was sorry and thanked him for everything they had done for him leads me to believe that there was something deeper and darker at work. Nothing supernatural lol, but you know what I mean.

I just don't think it's fair to say something like that until we know a bit more about the situation. I mean, there were pics on FB of the family at Thanksgiving and they appeared to be normal and very happy.
