Maybe 3 because Raven fans are fickle. But it doesn't matter because you're looking at the Number 1 Joe Flacco fan anyway. The deal he signed was a steal by the Ravens. Aaron Rodgers is smiling and Matt Ryan is crying.

...highest paid player in history = a steal? u MUST be the worlds biggest Flacco fan!

he had a great playoff run, no question.
I am curious to see if he really turns the corner into an elite QB next season... I feel (without really looking) like the ravens won when they had to... and that they are starting to rebuild now... especially on the defensive side of the ball.

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
    Trust me, it's sad

I like Flacco. He's good but not worth that kind of money. That will probably end up being restructured in a few years. Not even Aaron Rodgers makes that kind of money, and he is IMO the best in the NFL right now.

IT's just the nature of the position tbh. I'm sure Cam Newton or whoever else is up for a new deal/restructure will be the highest or close to that, in two years time. Same with Ryan next year. It's a game of leapfrog for QBs.

Plus we all know, and I'm sure Flacco is well aware of this, is Year 4 is a junction where they restructure him. Not dissimilar to the deals Eli and Brady have done. I don't see how this is a secret or some sort of "genius insider" thought because we've seen it happen, especially with QBs.

If you win a ring or at least do well in the regular season/postseason, then you're probably gonna be the highest paid player at some point.

No need for non-Raven fans to take it as that "he's better than everyone else" type of deal... You don't let a Franchise/SB winning QB walk.

Pretty much what I said above...

But I'll add this, anyone who thinks that Joe leaned on the defense or wasn't the reason the Ravens won for most, if not all, their games; are themselves leaning on ESPN style of opinion.

And it's outdated, not to mention ill-informed....

Flacco highest paid player in the NFL? Shiggity he's elite no doubt but highest paid?

That can be argued both ways there...

Like I said, comes with the position. I'dhave no issues if he was paid 18 mill or whatever. Or even WHEN his contract is surpassed. Just the nature of a player like him.

And definitely not the first time it's happened to a QB, nor will it be the last.

Yup that's what happens when you win the Superbowl.

I mean he did outplay Luck, Manning AND Brady.

PS I agree with sub, Rodgers is the best in the league right now at QB.

They are clearly the top 2 IMO

I guess it's all preference. I think Rodgers is just a tad better.

I put Rodgers over them all. He's mobile, smart, freakish memory, plays in the cold outdoors (GB, MIN, CHI aqnd DETROIT) so no padded indoor/dome stats. No running game to compliment him. An OK defense only.

To me, Brady has too many asterisks and weird whiny quirks, that Rodgers just does not have.

Plus Rodgers is a bit of a gamer from time to time, and I like his sense of humour.

Definitely my favourite non-Raven player by far. Heck I'd wish for Packer/Raven superbowls until the end of time. And Pack fans are probably one of the most respectful, knowledgeable and not afraid to give props to a team regardless after a win or loss.

For the most part of course.

Also, it seems like Brady makes a lot of plays from a clean pocket with little pass rush on him. When he gets pressured, he's much more average. Green Bay has a worse o-line. But Rodgers makes plays under duress and on the move, whether by design or scrambling.

Chiefs re-signed Dwayne Bowe and used the franchise tag on Brandon Albert . Solid moves by Andy.

    Great moves by the Chiefs.

I wanted Bowe in Miami, though.

    Not sure If want Wallace.

I'm also in the majority regarding Rodgers.

Wait does that mean Jennings has been tagged/re-signed?

At first I thought it was fake based on his name - kinda sounded like Leon Sandcastle to me.

Yeah he is lol. Although I'm a bit nervous as to how they're gonna work everyone into the cap. Clay is coming up as well, and with this deal, it just shot Rodgers deal more than before. But of course, that's why Ted Thompson gets paid the big bucks to figure it all out lol
But congrats to Flacco, I've given him so much shit all these years, but he stepped up and carried the team and said "shut the fuck up!" to me and everyone else lol

I'd bet they let Jennings walk.

With the emergence of Nelson and Cobb , they reallly can't afford to give him big money.

Yup Finley would be an absolute monster if he wasn't such a headcase.

Forgot about Jones, even more reason to let Jennings walk. He'll get top money somewhere, just not in GB.

Why do people think Fraudy Ice will garner more money than Superbowl Winning QB, Joe "Maximus" Flacco? The guy has one career playoff win. ONE. Since the Faggasy Football fans love stats, why aren't they taking this into account? lol! It should go as followed. (If anything)

Aaron Rodgers - 1 ZILLION DOLLARS
    Joe Flacco - Current Contract
    Thomas Brady - Current Contract
    Peyton Manning - Current Contract
    Drew Breezus - Current Contract
Uncle Ben's Rice - Current Contract
    Fraudy Ice

How does he even come close to Flacco's contract? I'm loss. You guys are pretty good with reason... EXPLAIN!

There's pretty much no reason to QB prices though So long as you either put up numbers, get to or win in the playoffs consistently, or win a SB; then you simply get a high price, and most often, it's higher than the last guy to get paid the highest.

At least that's the way I see it.
