They aren't changing the platform, they're making it multi-platform. It's coming to GameCube first, and will be released on PS2 sometime in 2005.

The Need for Speed series is one of EA's longest running franchises, and a teaser for its latest installment was recently shown off at E3 2006. The extremely short clip told viewers nothing much except for that Need for Speed Carbon was on its way.

From what little EA has released about the game, we know that it is a street racer and that will most likely be released for the PlayStation 3 by the end of this year; an exact launch date is still unknown.

EA recently announced that the game will star Canadian actress, Emmanuelle Vaugier. Filming has already begun and Vaugier previous work includes House of the Dead 2 and Two and a half men; this will be her first game role.

EA has revealed that there will be 3 car classes in the game- the mid-range modified Tuners, the 70's and 80's Muscles and the million dollar Exotics. Cars suspected to appear in the gameinclude the following:

Well I agree we'll need more editors at some point. As I've mentioned in a different thread, when the PS3 actually launches reviews will become a big part of what we have to do. So especially for this, there'll probably be a Reviews Editor.

(I'm just thinking out loud though, Kieran hasn't mentioned any specific plans to me yet)
