I remember reading in the past that the whole reasoning behind the movement to PG was simply because of a lucrative deal the WWE signed with toy manufacturers. In order for them to be on-board the WWE needed to tone down their content to appease the manufacturers. That deal was long term I'm afraid to say.

That makes sense however their fan base gets older they need to appease those fans as well.

On a side note I'm tired of this cena aj this its awkward watching cena and her kiss....its like cena doesn't like it... Lmao

The aj cena story is killing me to the put that I want to destory the WWE with a block of cheese,, cheese everyone down stone dead and spread them lightly over some crackers and toast...

Whenever i record RAW, i find myself fast fowarding nearly EVERYTHING, that doesnt contain Punk or Bryan on the screen, The rest of the product is a joke......PG wont be going anywhere guys.

Expecting big things of the Shield though.....especially Rollins and Reigns

The problem is, the attacks on wrestlers part of the storyline and stuff. Is they can not expand beyond putting them through a table or a few hits with a chair and the wrestler has to sell it has a extremely rough beat down.


The old era, was two tables, three wrestlers and a chair... It was destructive marriage bless




Now its a table, one baby beating and a possible chair.
It's like breast feeding a idea and staying wait I am still breast feeding, just use a table and make him sell it as if it was a extremely rough beat down

Remember when Austin beat the crap out of Vince in the hospital room? How about when he sprayed down the corporation using a beer truck? These clips were not only entertaining but helped add a total all out element that only the old WWE could provide. With the PG rating they are capped at how they can develop real storyline angles, and sadly limits them to only allowing bullshit boring, non believable crap.

Remember when Stephanie walked in on HHH helping Trish Stratus do some stretches?! PRICELESS. Or when he and Steph got married at the drive-thru wedding chapel in Vegas?

These events will forever live in my mind as a wrestling fan. The last GREAT moment was CM Punks EPIC promo, but in the end the WWE fucked that all up.

I just read your line about Stone Cold beating the crap out of Vince in the hospital room and it instantly reminded me of when he beat the crap out of Michael Cole on Smackdown when he was part of the Alliance

The WWE needed to do daring and bold things to entice its audience to stay on board as they had severe competition with the then WCW. If they had ANY current competition they would more than likely try a bit harder. What baffles my mind is the fact their ratings are in a decline yet they deliver the same crap formula week in and week out. It makes me believe that what I mentioned earlier to be true. They are stuck delivering a PG product due to the contract they signed with various toy manufacturers.

HHH is an Attitude Era born and bred wrestler. I believe if he gets 100% control we will notice a shift in the direction of the company. They need to cater to a more mature audience, as lets face it the mature audience has the money to spend, not the 5 year old children who worship John Cena.

If only that title held more meaning as it did when other greats had it on their shoulder. Or perhaps this is what the WWE is trying to accomplish with CM Punk's title reign.

Talk about Ryback and WrestleMania:

Apparently, original plans were for him to face Taker, but that has been nixed. Now it seems likely that if Taker competes at Mania he will face CM Punk.
As for Ryberg, he will apparently face Big Show - whether it'll be for the World Heavyweight title or not remains to be seen. But they want Berg to have a "WrestleMania Moment" where he can lift Big Show over his shoulders and perform his finisher; so if that is the case, Ryback will win.

Big show and ryback would be a great WM match....Hopefully ryberg can get his ring work more polished by then I read CM punk is going to be in the main event so i would assume he be invovled with the WWE title picture somehow

In other news, who remembers Maven?

Former WWE star Maven Huffman who won Tough Enough 2001 has lost his winners trophy in a storage auction reports TMZ.com. The trophy was sold for $100 and then listed on eBay featching an impressive $600. The new owner did reach out to Maven to try and return it but heard nothing back. Maven told TMZ.com "he’s bummed about the situation … but hopes the new owner of his trophy “cherishes [it] as much as I did.”

I wish they could have made something for him. But I suppose that since he was the first of his kind [winning a competition], the stigma of being a competition winner would have just stuck with him and it seemed they didn't know how to shake that off of him - or they just didn't bother to try!
Pretty much the same thing has happened to "Big Andy" from the last Tough Enough.

I would like to see another show. I actually really enjoyed watching the last one.

And for those wondering about the whole Cena and AJ thing (as well as Del Rio and Mendes), we have an answer!

- It's said the current RAW storylines with AJ Lee & John Cena and Rosa Mendes & Alberto Del Rio are being done to cater to female viewers as part of WWE's new initiative to reach out to that demographic.

Some interesting TNA news about cutting back on PPV's, hope the WWE will follow suit

-- As previously reported, TNA is planning to cut back on their PPV calendar. Sources are indicating that the February Against All Odds PPV has been scratched, which means that the company will do the January Genesis PPV show, take February off, and return in March for Lockdown. There may be 1-2 other PPVs removed from the calendar as well, but at this time, that is not confirmed.

-- The sentiment at last night's IMPACT tapings was said to be very positive, with the feeling that the company has turned the corner on creative. Plans are mapped out several months ahead and the initial TV scripts are completed a few weeks ahead of time in order to make sure they are locked in to their plans. The overall feeling is that the long term planning is stronger than it has been in a long, long time for the company.

-- Hogan has been working closely with Morgan to help him improve as a talent and personality.
