They know and we all know, how valuable the streak is and the WWE would be committing company suicide if they ended it
And even I feel the wrestlers do not want it to end even.. it's a legacy unto itself
Their is no one in the WWE now that deserves to end the streak, HBK and HHH and the ROCK and STONE COLD. Would be the only wrestlers that could get away with ending the streak
The wrestlers now would be hated forever if they ended it... Even CENA does not deserve the privilege of ending the streak

Can you explain how it would be company suicide? Molo and me seem to agree that it would turn away part of their audience, but kill the company? The streak? I don't think anything can kill WWE at this point.
And about the wrestler ending the streak being hated forever.. well yeah that'd kinda be the point of letting someone end the streak. You'd get a main event level heel out of it for the rest of their carreer.
There's alot of factors involved though in finding the right person to end the streak (imo the streak ending ship sailed long ago anyway). You need a reliable worker, preferably someone who isn't injury-prone, someone with charisma/who can connect with the crowd, someone under a long term contract (Sheamus/Orton type contracts) etc..
Plus it would take years of strong booking to get a wrestler over enough to battle Taker and look like a legit threat, but with WWE's current creative team that's next to inmpossible. I personally thought Wade Barrett would've been a great opponent for Taker at WM27 until they ruined Nexus and buried his character beyond repair.
Back in 2007 Ken Kennedy looked to be "the guy" unfortunately for him he was injury prone and looking at how he does in TNA I'm sure we are all glad that didn't work out.

As much as i hate orton back when he was "the legend killer" ending the streak would have been best.

Guys I Just believe it would be company suicide if the streak was ended, particular on the fans leaving and I mean the loyal fans, they do never want it to end
It is a legacy unto it's self as I stated and it is a business maker for the WWE... I would never feel right for a current wrestler to end the streak.... it would have to be a legend wrestler to end It...
Its more iconic and legendary that way. Rather than oh taker is old and lost because he has no more life in the business anymore, it would destroy him if it was not a legend that ended the streak

Orton needs a CM Punk or Cena fued where he comes out on top

Orton needs skills more than a fued at this point. IF he can preform like a true A list should then he needs to start showing it. Till then a CM Punk feud would have Punk walk all over him promo wise and in ring style wise. A cena fued would be like watching paint dry only with a less satisfying outcome.

I agree with Yuuichi. If Orton were to have a feud with Punk, Punk would completely own him with promos. Even if the creative team have great lines for him, he would have to step up incredibly to deliver them.
Pretty much since Punk has been in the WWE title picture, all of his promos have been pretty realistic-ish and personal comments, and all of his opponents have to have similar comments to pass back - Cena, Triple H, Kevin Nash, Rock; he's had some personal gripes with all of them, and most of the promos have been good to great.

Orton feuding with Mid carders he's neveer gonna be pushed to be better. Punk makes cena better as well as when he was doing promos with the rock

Orton needs to go back to his roots and re-explore them all over again
he needs a huge feud with either punk, cena, y2j or brock
this will put him in main events and bring within the title race once again
and he will be loved by fans and respected again

Orton mediocre in the ring? I disagree, am I the only one who remembers his epic matches with Christian in the summer of 2011? Or what about his matches with Mark Henry? Henry ain't the best in the ring but Orton got an entertaining match out of him. I also think his terrible mic skills are blown out of proportion. I thought he cut some great promo's in 2009 when he was fueding with HHH..
He isn't given alot of mic time nowadays so it's hard to judge if he really is that bad imo.

Ugh.. I'm hating this current "Road To Redemption" storyline that's going on with Cena. Is anyone actually buying that BS? How many times will WWE try to pass him off as the ultimate underdog?
They themselves will try to sell you this story on how he's lost so many times the last year thus making him the underdog.
However 2 weeks after WM 28 last year on Raw, Cena said this after someone threw the Rock loss in his face: "Wins and losses at Wrestlemania don't matter." In essence, he buried the Undertaker's streak, Eddie's title defense against Kurt, Hogan's big wins, Austin's WM 17 heel turn victory , etc. All of that just so he can try to undercut the Rock's win last year and didn't want to face the heat. That's John Cena. That's the worst in the business, folks. Proves it week in and week out.
This is an example of why people fucking despise Cena. He refuses to sell feuds (and matches, for that matter) in a manner that would put him in a situation where he looks the slightest bit weak. There's no reason to have any sort of interest in him. Some may say that "well this is just the Cena character." Well then that character is retarded and shouldn't exist.
As I've said before, his character is a fucking black hole because nothing ever gets to him.. he just floats throughout his kayfabe life without a care in the world.

If the WWE want a character to grow in the ring and outside the ring and for the fans to equally hate him or like him... The WWE has done this in the past and the fans love it
CENA is this guy that writes the underdog story to death and he is still for all he has achieved over the years he has been in the WWE... Still thinks he is the underdog and needs pushed by others and to be better than what he is
It's the WWE as well that are not seeing this whole bigger picture that the fans see and that is cena as had his underdog story for 11 years now and needs to make a new set of said stories with new talent
And let CENA go or make him into a fresh character or just keep on with this BS and watch his soul be destroyed by us and make us hate him even more

Here is Rock's thought's on why he chose CENA for his comeback
http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news/1...ohn-cena-againIGN.com and Matt Fowler interviewed The Rock to talk about the long-term plans of working with John Cena and his new TV show The Hero. Here are some highlights:
The Rock on his long-term plans with John Cena:
"You have to understand that my return back into the WWE was years in the making. And since I've been back, it's been a three year-long journey that started at WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta. So, John has always been my first choice (to work with)."
The Rock
on how he wanted to work with someone he could do big business with: "Here's the thing. The question was that if I was going to go back in the WWE, how could I go back and make the most impact? With who can I headline WrestleMania in that company and make the most impact? And the bottom line is that it continues to be John Cena. Just in terms of, and we'll use a Hollywood term here, box office appeal. Universal appeal. Athletic pairing. So there are a lot of reasons."
The Rock
on how he wants to give back to the business and help elevate Cena: "What I'm talking about is being able to go back to the
WWE and give back to the business, which is in my blood and has allowed me a platform to perform which then, 12 years ago, allowed me to make he transition to Hollywood. So the scenario I've dreamed of is that I'm able to go back, become WWE champion, go into the what is considered the biggest marketplace in the world, which is the New York City area, at MetLife Stadium and headline
WrestleMania as champion and give back to the business, the fans, the company, and their number one hero. So I couldn't have asked for a better scenario and we're going to have a blast."The Rock's thoughts on his match with Cena at Wrestlemania 29: "I think we're going to have a great match and my hope is that it's going to be a classic."
The bold text, now in what degree is he going to elevate CENA. CENA has been elevated to the highest spot in the WWE and that is main event and word title status
How higher can the ROCK take him

In the end tho, because of how they book Cena and partially because Cena has a big ego, Cena will not be seen as anything special in ring just the symbol for a dark age of wrestling. Sure he has held the title 13 or so times, but if you break it down that means he was given the title 1-2 a year as he didn't start getting title till I think 2005. which does not hold a candle to flairs 13 time as that was over the course of years. Save a few matches, overall he is a yes man puppet and most of his matches are the same thing over and over.
