Logitech Rumblepad 2 works with PS3!!!

Yeah, so i was just chillin in my room and messing around with different usb devices i have, and my logitech Rumblepad 2 usb pc game controller works with my ps3! if you dont know what im talking about check the logitech website for the rumblepad 2. it has the same button layout as a dualshock, and the buttons correspond to what you would expect.

the controller doesnt have a ps button, so you cant play ps2 games with it, and the buttons are not pressure sensitive, but it can still be used for most games. even though this controller has rumble, there are no ps3 games that support it. i did try gthd since it supports force feedback wheels, but the controller didnt rumble.

just thought this was interesting. maybe you guys can try other gamepads and see what happens.

now if i can only find a way to get guitar hero working...

Seeing as you're fairly knew you wouldn't know of the topic about random USB devices for the PS3, I tried the same controller (I have it) and it worked, we made a topic ages ago back in November, not sure where it's gone now though.

Yeah i use my logitech dual anolog controller with my ps3 as well

works well with most games that dont need the motion sensor.
although for some reason in nhl 2k7 the l2 and r2 buttons didnt work.

Eh... So what if USB controllers work? It's not surprising. Just use the PS3 SIXAXIS controller. There isn't any rumble supported, so there isn't much point to third party controllers.

It's not a PS3 third party controlled as it's not built for the PS3, it's a PC controller. But there is a point, I only had one controller at the time, and I had the Logitech Pad as well, and because it worked I was able to play co-op R:FoM with my brother, and when I went to see my friends, got a new controller, and had 3 player Blast Factor. Hardly pointless is it? If you have it already, use it.

Many USB PC controllers work with the PS3 but I do not have a link for this particular one. I use mine if I need a third controller.

You can turn off the tilt in R:Fom and use the analogue sticks to shake it off instead.
