official "I GOT AN ELITE!!" thread

So to everyone that got an Elite today, was it worth what ever you had to do to get it? How does it compare to the premium? (besides the obvious HDMI, black and 120gb)

I was at Target at open. (just to see if there was any hype on the elite) I got there at 5 minutes to open. There was 5 people in line. All for Wii's, nobody even looked at the Elite. Kinda wiered if you ask me. In my area they are on Craigslist for $600, who would buy that over a ps3??

Anyway, please feel free to post your comments and set-up pics here if interested.

BTW, I didn't buy and Elite or Wii. I will wait til fall for the Elite (hopefully price cut and 65nm chip by then) and may never onw a Wii.

I'm with you on the Wii... I doubt I'll ever own one, too many owners have told me it's a novelty that wears off after 2 hours of play...

I got mine and a couple extra black controllers this morning @ Target with no line or waiting of any kind...

I was kinda bummed that THERE WAS NO TRANSFER CABLES IN THE BOX like I have seen in threads about the Elite.

No big deal tho, I just had to recover my gamertag and redownload all my arcade games and Gears maps...

Honestly I dont think the HDMI makes it look any better, but I love the slick look of the black, and I feel like I will NEVER fill up 120gb of space.

I already did all my transfers... I don't see the point in calling now.

It's not supposed to come with the cable. They said they were only going to send one to people who ask for one since not everyone needs one.

well i did not but the ELITE.if i do get a 360 it will be the 20 gig model.
but i did call around the store by my house and they told me

It to late for them to redesigned console at this point in time and even if they did M$ will find some kind of way to charge more when price should just stay the same.

I think I found a hardware bug with the new Xbox 360's, the top right light on my Xbox Elite NEVER lights up. My friend and I both bought it from the same store, and both have the same exact dead light. It scared me because I didn't have my cable plugged in all the way so it showed up as only 3 lights since one didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem? It doesn't bother me since I rarely will have 4 controllers hooked up to it :P

I was also suprised to see that 2 Best Buys, 2 Toys R Us, 3 Gamestops, and 2 Toys R Us are all sold out of Xbox 360 Elites in my area. I attempted to find one for a friend with no luck at all.
