Official PSU Title Ladder

Welcome to the PSU title ladder! This is the place to view where you stand in the realm of default sub-titles that our Admins have designed for the members of our Forums.

While default titles have lost their appeal, for more fancy and customizable ones, this thread remains to help those who wish to see where they stand in the world of PS3Forums.

Explanation:

Titles and stars are based upon your post count.
Increasing your post count past the designated amount will increase your ranking.

500-749= Superior Member
750-999= Veteran

1000-1499= Elite Member

2000-2499= Super Elite
2500-2999= Forum Elder
----5 Stars----

3000-3999= Forum Guru
4000-4999= Master Guru
----6 Stars----

5000-7499= Elite Guru
----7 Stars----

7500-9999= Forum Sage
----1 Gold Star ----

10000-12499 = Elite Sage
----2 Gold Stars ----

12500-14999 = Master Sage
----3 Gold Stars ----

15000-17499 = Power Member
----4 Gold Stars ----

17500-19999 = Supreme Veteran

20000-22499 = Ultimate Veteran

You guys have no idea what a real message board n00b cycle looks like.

On the Megatokyo forums, it was so bad that it was standardized into something called the Megatokyo Menstrual Cycle(TM).

That was before the all powerful Charvac was modded, (and before he changed his name to just Char). He single handedly backhanded the entire forum of 32,000 people by banning about 100 people in his first week and locking almost 3/4 of all threads. People stopped posting crap after he was modded. [I should note that this guy had a post count of almost 40,000... he accounted for almost 1% of the forum's entire library on a 30,000 person forum...]

Ah... those were the days. It was whoever sent their competition crying for mommy first that won the argument, and we had lots of methods to "break in" n00bs.

We're definitely going to see a 4000 post member soon. In fact there will be a 20,000 post member in only a few years. That's how forums work.

I just realized it would really stink if they closed PS3 forums, I would have no home!
(ps3forums is my home, it's where I started and keep coming back too, despite many tempting boards they und up being losers, so I come back here, and realize that I wanna PWN sum nOObs then I realize none of them post

4000-4499= ?

This is the only ify part.

I based the 7th star on the fact that steroyd got his 6th star only 500 after 3000. It's wierd they chose 500 over another 1000 to get the 6th star...In any case it's only natural to assume the 7th star is going to be 500 more posts after that...which would be 4000.

And if my assumptions are correct there should be no more names after you get 4000 considering there will be no more stars.

We can then call it the ps4 forums. And it can have all new info on the x720 (guessing as name).

I'll probably do the same. I never would have been on here less there would bea new console. So i'd probably take a loooong break.

One forum I was using stopped post counts, people actually posted less junk.

The post counts were brough back later on & people started posting more.

Some people care more about their post counts then the quality of their work.

Id prefer forum ranking to be based on post merrit, not post count, have a ranking related to the amount of skill points someone accumulates seems a lot better idea to me.

Yeah but on this board anti-spam is part of the mods jobs. They have a spam rule and if a mod sees a post not contributing to the post they will warn the member.

That is why i think it's safe to sticky this. But apparently i'm the only one who thinks so.

I think it is a cool idea, but I'd rather have my next rank be a surprise to be honest, it is part of the fun.

I've never really thought about what I'll do when the PS3 is out. Like Nomar I come here for news, and to debate stuff, but there might not be as much to debate when we know everything there is to know about the 360 and PS3

I guess there will always be arguments over whether GT:V looks better than Forza. Plus I reckon the idea of having PS3 Forums online tourneys is great, that'll keep stuff rolling, seeing how many of you I can beat in GT and UT
