Right lads. My PC is seriously broken. I currently have a 6800 512mb AGP and an AMD 3000+ 939.
The GFX card is always overheating and the processor just cannot handle anything.
Now, i would want to make a new system, however, at this current time, i have no money,
Not to worry, i have my exams, then a massive break, so i will be getting a job.
So, i was wondering if you guys could price me up a good system. I want it to be PCI-e, but that's obvious.
I will be using it for games, but i do not need to run them on max settings, because of the cost.
I do not need a hard drive, a screen, a DVD drive, just a mobo, RAM and a processor, as well as a graphics card.
I know that this is going to be a challenge seeing as i have 0 money, but if i say keep it to about £500ish then it could make things easier. I know that i am not going to get a top end system for this, but anything is better than what i currently have.
One last thing, im in the UK.
Thanks in advance![]()

I dont know pounds. I do know however that for 20 dollars I can get a cheap hooker at a strip club 2 hours down the highway.

E6600 Core 2 Duo -- £127
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CP-128-IN
2gb Corsair Dual Channel 5-5-5-12 @ 1.8-2.2v -- £71.99
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-092-CS
Asus P5N-E SLI Nforce 650 Chipset -- £70
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MB-221-AS
Evga 8800GTS 320mb -- £170

That'll let you run pretty much every game out now at full settings, but if you wait about a month, you might be able to be able to get a 8800GTX in your price range.

Thats a great setup. Overclockers add 17.5% VAT on top off all those prices, but still end up one of the cheapest suppliers around for the best kit.
Misco also have a bundle at 240 pounds incl VAT, but it is one step down with the processor with an E6420 processor, Foxconn motherboard...

Novatech have some fully assembled and tested bundles, but at 400 pounds WITHOUT graphics card (have everything else though)

what configuration is your MB at the moment? ATX

Its a custom build. I didn't make it though, so i couldn't answer that question. Will the case say on it?
Edit: The part that was broken, the graphics card, is under 3 years warranty, and seeing as i have only had it a year, guess where its going?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

What is this...Zero Hour?
Then you've got a 99.99999% chance that it is an ATX standard.

Ok, bit of a twist. I now have a £125 coupon for www.ebuyer.com.
This is what i am happy with in my system
-DVD Drives
-Mouse
-Keyboard
-PCI Things
-Case
So, i think i need;
*PSU
*Motherboard
*Processor
*Graphics Card
*RAM
So, with this coupon, and obviously more, can you amazing people price me up a system?
It HAS to be from www.ebuyer.com.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for messing people about.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
