I strongly discourage you fellow video game players from voting for Joseph Isadore Lieberman for President of the United States. Therefore, he is one of the archenemies of the video game community. For this reason, he has vehemently criticized us the video game community and called us trash culture. He has inspired the advent of the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, the rating system I distrust and deprecate. He is a member of the video game censor empire, started by Jack Chick and co-lead by Al Menconi. As my signature says, I am a defender of the video game community. Some of Lieberman's video game law proposals have been declared unconstitutional. I have been setting a coalition against religious video game restriction, called the video game proponent alliance, being the counter organization against the video game censor empire. If Lieberman takes the Oval Office, he will ruin the video game industry and devastate the video game community, and the video game community may rebel against the government. The Lieberman administration would be a lethal and terrifying threat to the video game community.
I am against religious restriction on and political regulation of video games. I am against church-sanctioned and government-sanctioned video game rating systems, e.g. Al Menconi's rating system. It is religious and political nonsense. If your parent's religious organization imposes content-wise restrictions on video games, I recommend that you leave that religious organization and your parents' home if you are old enough. Restriction on video games incur negative social and psychological consequences rather than positive ones. I may one day liberate gamers from parental and religious oppression. I left my parents' religious organization, Jehovah's Witnesses, due to their stance on video games. My case of leaving the religious organization is similar to Michael Jackson's case, on the basis of the same Bible principles. Theologically, Jehovah's Witnesses are a dangerous and demeaning cult. Their actually false teachings are not actually based on Biblical doctrines and principles. They call it "the only true religious organization" and claim that their teachings originate from God. That organization restricts rather than protects. It may cause misery, confusion, misogyny, social abuse, and psychological abuse. My parents have misraised me with that religious organization, screwing me up with their church's false teachings. The church led me to be heinously misogynous, but I have overcome misogyny.
Video games must never be blamed for society's problems. It will degenerate to physical and verbal violence and brutal parental oppression by the Babyboomer generation. I want the video game community to be happy and enjoy getting and playing video games to the fullest without any religious or political interference, meaning no invasion by the church or state. According to the words of Phoenix of FFLegend.com, video game players are good and compassionate people. They are actually less likely to commit crimes and have better visual skills than non-gamers. Most of them fear the blaming of video games for society's problems.

The guy doesnt even have a chance among Democrats to run against Bush so I dont think you have to worry about him getting into office. BTW, to anyone who reads this thread...lets not let this turn into a huge political debate, man I hate those.
p.s. Dude, it's ok to put down the gloves and just enjoy life sometimes...you are what I'd like to call way to strongly opininated on things.

You don't have to worry about that. I've never even heard of him, and I don't even live in America. How hard can it be to find someone better than Bush? - No offence any people who like Bush - It's just that I have serious doubts about his intelligence levels.

Not many Europeans like Bush and thats ok, but you have to give the guy credit where it is due. He's got the economy on an outstanding rise, we captured Saddam and are liberating Iraq right now(casualties are a normal thing despite what people want to believe). I really hope he get's relected so he can stay the course because he is doing a great job but if a Democrat is to get in I'd hope it to be someone who supports what we are doing in Iraq and understands it is necessary for the safety of not only the U.S. but the world.
BTW, weapons of mass destruction may not have been found but they know for sure there were programs to make them.
p.s. I know I said I dont want this to turn into a debate but I had to give the guy credit where credit is due so dont knock on the guy so hard. I believe he is very intellegent but not good with words.

I have no clue who he is but if it were him vs. bush I would pick him. Bush had alot of stuff happen the first year he was in presidency. I think that the World Trade Center Disaster was just to get him remembered in history. Its all a big conspiracy... who knows...But whoever is in office needs to protect the country. What can Leiberman do? Just because he's president that doesnt mean he can stop us from playing video games does it...so you have nothing to worry about.....So please calm Down...
Why do people depend on eachother? ...When in the end your on your own.

Yea sure, a big concpiracy that killed 2000 of his fellow citizens
I don't think Bush is a Killer, he makes me laugh if anything.

01-27-2004 #10Dude, no offense but stay away from the sci-fi or conspiracy novels are whatever your reading. The government is not out to get you or to brainwash you, or anything of that nature. It was just a tragic even that happened to occure during his presidency, when something of this nature happens while you are in office I imagine you have no choice but to become a no holds bar type of guy. Now we're taking extreme measures to rid the world of terrism and of threats....if the 9/11 attacks occured while you were president you would go crazy also to protect your fellow countrymen because you would want to make sure you have a grip on things.I think that the World Trade Center Disaster was just to get him remembered in history. Its all a big conspiracy... who knows...But whoever is in office needs to protect the country.

Can you honestly tell me you think he had something to do with the WTC attacks? Im sorry but I cant think of one politician in the U.S. that would dream of doing such a think to their fellow countrymen. I know some are looney or a little off the wall but even if they devised a scheme like that they'd have to have apprentices and I doubt anyone would want to aid in that endeavor. Well since you seem to believe this for some wierd bizzare reason atleast give some reasons as to why you think he would do this. Besides the oh, he wants to be remembered. There isnt a president that has ever left offices not atleast known for something so I cant imagine any president in America today wanting to kill his own. If Clinton can get busted for his sex scandal, Nixon for the Watergate scandal then dont you think they would of caught on to Bush by now? Come on man, use some common sense...

Meh, since your bringing up old topics I mine as well say I have never really had a problem with Liberman. He supports the war in Iraq which is a good thing.

Hmm I find at this forum we can't stay away from debating about the war so I guess I will put the thread back on topic.
Tedius I agree with you on most of that 100% especially since that gaming restriction would effect alot of american game developers so alot of the games I have come to want
would be gone I wouldn't have to worry about me being restricteed to games though since as the commercial goes I AM CANADIAN

Next Gen Gaming to Change the World of Entertainment
Next Gen Gaming to Change the World of Entertainment
By: Justin Pinter (a.k.a.) NoUseMercenary
On January 4th. 2006, OTX (Online Testing eXchange) a global consumer research and consulting firm, released the first results from its weekly videogame tracking survey, Video GameTraxx. The information found from GameTraxx shows that next gen consoles will change gaming to a new level of entertainment. This change will not only have an effect on gaming, but other mainstream media like movies and DVD’s, as predicted.
"These new consoles offer 'cinema-like' quality along with an immersive,
interactive experience and consumers are already anticipating that they will
make improvements to their home theater experience to maximize the enjoyment
of this new media," said Shelly Zalis, CEO and co-founder of OTX. "The
combination of this evolved game experience and an improved home theater
experience may create new challenges for media like movies and television that
are increasingly battling for gamers' attention and time."
OTX introduced GamTraxx to help the gaming and entertainment industries stay on top of trends and understand consumer gaming behaviors. The research and information found gives publishers an up-to-date image of gamer’s awareness in the gaming world and their purchase/rental intent of future game titles.
