A 22-year-old gamer has spent $26,500 (£13,700) on an island that exists only in the computer role-playing game Entropia (RPG). The guy hopes to make the money back by taxing other MMORPG'ers to build and mine on his island.
This just goes to show how popular MMORPG's have become over the past 10 years and marks a new level of fanaticism and popularity for the genre.
The article goes on to say that economists calculated that these massively multi-player online role-playing games (MMORPGs) have a gross economic impact equivalent to the GDP of the African nation of Namibia!

What's the point of that? I'd just want to see a .hack//world somewhere...named wierdly...or something, I want to be able to cover my eyes with glasses that will over-ride my whole eyes and be in the game itself...
Is that too hard to develop?

I saw it on this forum. I know that for sure. Gotta go search. I'll be back. That's wierd. I know I saw it in the PS3 forum area. But can't find it. Oh well, doesn't really hurt to make another topic.

PS3 announcements
Sony has said 2 announcements will be made next week.
Spong is suggesting one will be made on Monday - so if everyone could keep a look out.
The neogaf people are saying there'll be one on Wednesday too (which is the 1st day of Leipzig GC).
According to Spong Sony's listened to all the criticisms from E3, so hopefully we'll get something good.
