I dunno, it rated in the mid- 80's across all reviews, I would say 8 out of 10 people who have it really liked it as well.
It's just a bit short...but if you have fun just screwin around you should get 20'sh hours out of it easily. 10-12 otherwise.
Personally I don't regret it, and to be honest I look forward to Crackdown 2(whenever that is) as much as GTA IV.www.americanzeitgeist.com
Think about what you are hearing and watching and make your own conclusions.
Either way WATCH IT!! It's a great documentry.

It's one of my favorites on the 360 so far, a very fun game, the Halo 3 beta is a nice bonus also. At least give it a rent.

It is short once you get the hang of it, but the acheivements will keep you busy for awhile. If you have someone else you could play it with over LIVE it's even better.

Crackdown is a good game but loses a lot once you max out your skills, which you can do in a day or two or three depending how often you play it. After that, it becomes repetitive. You have the same things happening over and over; you move around and gang members spot you, you engage in gunfire, and then you move down the street and the same thing happens. Wherever you are on the map, one of two things will happen: either no gang members show up and you just walk around among peds and cops, or they do show up and force you to fight or flee. The enjoyment in the game is being able to do superhuman things like jumping a hundred feet from rooftop to rooftop in your escpae, etc. But again, once you max out your skills, which is very fun while in the process by the way, then you do the same things over and over.
The game is worth $20 to $25 in other words. If you find if for that price then definitely get it. Maybe even $30 b/c the online can be fun too for a while.Signature Under Construction

I personally love it. If you like "experimenting" in games, this is perfect. Its all about pushing boundaries.
During E3 I check out the booth babes, and if that's wrong...then maybe I'm missing the point of E3

Crackdown is undoubtatly my favorite 360 game. The game itself is large, non linear, and fun, and the Beta really adds value to it.
Well worth the 60 bucks, a must buy.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I just got it this week after playing the demo for the first time.. I played the demo twice and really enjoyed it so I decided to get it when I saw it over at Amazon for 46$ and free shipping.. I picked up Crackdown and a blu-ray movie
I should have it later today when I get in. What really got me besides the price drop was the DLC video over at gametrailers, if you haven't seen it check it out.
It seems Amazon raised the price back.. I paid 46.99: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-8822...9509071&sr=8-1

Buy this game, its well worth it. Can be a little repetitive at times and I spent most of my time getting the Achievements rather than completing the story mode. Go for it, I'm not sure the Halo 3 Beta will be available with Crackdown forever though, so I've heard anyway.
Games: Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, Guitar Hero III, GTA IV, Batman Arkham Asylum, BioShock, Killzone 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

This game is messing around in GTA on steroids. If you enjoyed messing around in GTA, you will enjoy crackdown tremendously. If you only enjoyed GTA for the story do not get this game. If you didn't like GTA at all, try this game because it is till different enough to warrant a different gameplay department (platformer vs sandbox)...
