I think I have all the ports open.

Is entering your email address and password as my PPPoe work well? And is it safe?

    Help!

Is this configured right? I am using a D-Link 1310 router and can't seem to free myself from NAT Type3.

Yes, I tried out my older router (Belkin) and still no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something. I don't remember running into this problem when I had a xBox 360.

I'm comparing your picture with the setting i have on mine and it is about the same except I got one more input on it. I got 3658 for UDP. So a total of 6 numbers. Maybe that will help you out.

    TCP: 80, 443, 5223
    UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658

okay it's been three days I'm trying different ways and tutorials none have worked yet can you guys help me!!

    I did the following:

    i have a Wireless Wireless-G Broadband Router (Linksys-WRT54G2)
    I've Port forwarded the following ports : 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3658, 5223
I'm using my stactic IP for my ps3 as: 192.168.1.150
    UPNP enable
DMZ enable for the Stactic IP i use.

My DHCP is automatic on my router and i tried to set it on Static IP but when i enter the one i used it says the WAN IP and the LAN IP are the same. i need some help i'm about to crush my ps3 into pieces.

Also when i enter my DNS, the one that i got from my ps3 was 192.168.2.1 but on my PC command prompt there's a different one that goes like (202.something) should i use the one on my CP?

If you can't figure it out, just run direct connect from modem to PS3. I'm waiting on my new D-link, cause my old belkin is a POS.

In all honesty i have found my NAT Type do not have much impact on anything at all. I have varied from having a NAT Type of 1, 2 and 3 according to what settings i have changed and whatnot, and neither make my connection any better or worse, more stable or unstable. Really weird. And people can always connect to my games when hosting on COD4 regardless...

something weird happened a few weeks ago i was able to download the uncharted 2 beta
but it was not installing.. so today the same thing happened mag demo.
i called sony and they said disable my media sever which i did. so i redownloaded the mag beta and it would not install so i did give my ps3 a static ip address and opened
the dmz and guess what i went back to nat 2 settings and iam able to download
    and install both demos

have tried everything, have the dmz and static ip set up, have all these ports opened and still NAT Type 3. I never had this problem with the last two PS3's - they would be at Nat 3 but enabling the DMZ always cured it right away.

for some reason I am looking at this wireless channel and I can't help but think it was on something else before, but I can't remember...it's at 11 now but I feel like it was at a different option before and I cannot remember for the life of me

i keep thinking I remember seeing a post saying to have it on a specific one but that was ages ago and after searching these forums (a chore that is) I can't find it. Guess I'll go through and try em out.

I accept with information: Reserve an IP address for your PS3. In the LAN IP setup of your AP, find the section that mentions address reservation. You'll need to choose an IP address that none of the other devices on your network uses. You'll also need the MAC address of your PS3. Put all those details in and apply them in your AP.

If your problem involves software, hardware or service brands, most reps will pass the buck. Then you start again. Add to the mix some manufacturers charge for support. IT support is the way to keep all of your tech in tune through a subscription-based tech support center. IT consulting businesses should cater to your small business or home office.

What if your sharing your internet connection with PS3?

So I am using PDANet through my iphone for internet access. I share my internet connection through my computer to my PS3. I can download stuff off of PlayStation Store but when trying to use Netflix instant movie watching its not connecting to Netflix. This happens weather I an directly connected to the PS3 with an Ethernet cable between my laptop and PS3 or sharing my internet connection with my wireless router then picking it up on my PS3.

I can shed some light on this for beginners.

    1. there are two types of connections

one being cable which is broadband internet

two is being DSL Which all though advertised as broadband isn't broadband at all.

    2. the playstation 3 requires a nat 2 connection which is broadband.

    3. the playstation 3 disables video chat and voice chat in game when you are on DSL because DSL is a nat 1 which is to slow for video chat and voice chat.

    4. The reason you cannot find a game in mw2 is because mw2 matches you with players with the same type of internet connection and because a lot of people find DSL stupid slow and not worth the money there are not a lot of players playing with a dsl connection.

    Recomendations:

    you can try three things.

    1. go to comcast broadband service

    2. once connected to true broadband configure your router to use opendns to speed up the connection even faster.

    3. Ditch DSL
