Fulham maintain that head coach Rene Meulensteen has not been sacked following Felix Magath's appointment as manager on Friday. Assistant manager Alan Curbishley's future remains uncertain

No use complaining about cards with the reckless challenges Podolski got away with. Webb is a grade-A $#@!.

Was a great match though. Well done to Arsenal. Proud to put in a performance like that at the emirates. But if you'd have given me the choice of one win in the two fixtures a week ago, I'd have taken the league match 10 times out of 10.

Webb was too scared to award Liverpool two penalties in a five minute periods, which is a great shame because the challenge on Suarez immediately after the first penalty definitely warranted another.
    Regardless, great, fiesty game.

Regardless of the joke that is Webb, we still had enough chances to win the game. Wouldn't have bet on Sturridge to get 3 clear cut chances and miss all three.

First one was very soft IMO Suarez went down before he got touched.

Can moan about Webb but Sterling put his hands on Webb, another red... it's swings and roundabouts really.

That was your last chance for a trophy this year IMO and is probably our only chance of one realistically and the win was important for us wuth what's coming up. I would have taken this one over a league win because the position we are in already, although not the heavy loss lol.

City will probably win the league by about 6 points I reckon.

I meant earlier when he took out Flanagan harder than other similarly yellow carded offenses leading up to that point. And Monreal got away with a yellow on a studs up potential leg breaker on Allen just because it was early.

Point it, ref was $#@! all around, for both teams, and it's a joke that the FA consider him their best, with no accountability.

We still can't score if we're chasing though.

That's what scares me. We won't survive in shootouts until Wenger knows how to buy anything other than CAMs.

We better hope like hell Sanogo is the second coming, because...

Big night! I'm at work but the gaffer is here and we're pretty close mates.
Plan is to toss it off at 7:45 with multiple phones and the computer in the office to display all games. Eat junk, chill out and then back to work around 10 undoubtably to a very pissed off team of colleagues.

I'm really not sure how Man City v Barca is going to turn out. Really wish Aguero was fit.

City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany (c), Demichelis, Clichy, Navas, Toure, Fernandinho, Kolarov, Silva and Negredo.

Barca: Valdés, Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, J.Alba, Sergio, Xavi, Cesc, Alexis, Messi and Iniesta.

    Football [Soccer] Thread

    It's as I expected
Barca dominating possession and playing nice smooth football
City soaking it in and doing their best to hit back on the counter,
Almost had a first half Negredo goal after an inch perfect half turn pass from Silva.
City were holding their own until the sending off, I don't rate Demachelis at all, and it all went downhill after that challenge.
Can't see city clawing back a 2 goal deficit at the Nou Camp but anything can happen.

PSG were brilliant tonight btw, winning four goals to nil.
Cabaye scoring from the bench to get the fourth, seems to be settling in well.

    First goalscorer was Matuidi
And if anyone scored a brace on that pitch, who else but Ibra? Solid performance.

Was hoping and thought Arsenal could beat Bayern tonight, but its just gone wrong for them tonight. Gibbs off injured, Szczesny sent off, Ozil having his penalty deservedly saved as it was $#@!.

Only good thing is Alaba missed his penalty

    Jeez, how pish is Ozil?

Some decent betting the last two days. Won €73 last night and €53 tonight. Have a bit on Napoli tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes!

He's far from poor. Has moments of magic. He's suffering from tiredness. In Spain and especially when you play for Madrid or Barca other game's Could be played in your slippers lol

I'm a big fan of players need a pre season. Ozil gave us a lift and next year we'll see his best.

Ozil can't defend at all, unfortunately. And it'll be to the detriment of Arsenal's chances against the top teams. He's always been a little lazy, even at Real.

Tbh, i think Ozil gets shown up against the big teams. He's alright against your mid table teams, but when it comes to a big game he just doesn't do it for me, even at Real Madrid he wasn't very impressive.

I mean tonight he passed the ball 10 yards to a Bayern player, its not as if there was a teammate near, it was the Bayern guy on his own! And the less said about his attempted penalty the better i think :L

Think if Gibbs and Szczney had stayed on then i think you's could have won. Good that Sanogo started, thought he was decent against Liverpool.

Ozil's penalty was VERY poor, you could tell it was going to be as he crawled up before taking the shot! Would have been nice for them to win but just wasn't to be!

Average. . Well 23 games, 5 goals and 13 assists. Not too shabby. When he has a proper pre season he'll show the doubters. I'm old enough to remember everyone writing Bergkamp off for a year.

Swansea played well last night, shame they didn't get a goal they deserved but to hold off Napoli is not a bad feat, going to be difficult to beat them at home though!

And here I thought 6/4 for a Napoli win was a beaut! I know their squad's thin and they don't care about EL, but I thought Swansea would be the same and the pitch would suit Napoli well. Oops.

Ajax didn't fair to well last night sadly, went down 4-0 at home to Red Bull Salzburg :/

They completely stopped us playing. Ajax usually play out from the back and RBS went for a 4-2-4 and there was just no outlet, and the midfield couldn't win the ball in the air. Tie over :/

Although tbf you could say this is the next generation coming through so it might be a season or 2 before it all goes well.
