Really hoping Balotelli makes a difference at Liverpool, think last nights game showed just how much Suarez's goals will be missed and how important it is for Balotelli to be in the goals more or less straight away!

Louis van Gaal's made it abundantly clear that he wants to play a 4-3-3; the 3-5-2 was borne out of necessity, a system to try and get the best out of the unbalanced nature of the squad; a way to get Mata, Rooney & van Persie all playing in their natural positions, plus it gave a little more defensive coverage for our leaky defense.

Di Maria's absolutely world class, and can be used as a winger in a 4-3-3 (van Gaal's bemoaned the lack of specialist wingers and width in the squad) or even as an advanced CM in an expansive 4-3-3, like he did for Madrid this past season. He'll inject pace, direction and width into our play and is sorely, sorely needed. We really, really need a DM/destroyer to compliment it all, though.

Well I'd love a jack-of-all-trades Vidal, who is, in my eyes, the best box-to-box midfielder in the world. Khedira, but that's not happening. Looks like Daley Blind is the backup!

They are but he's got a recurring knee injury that's making them incredibly hesitant to commit so much wages, they're hoping for a lot of clauses to make up for it. It's meniscus, I think, so it never fully heals. We don't want another Hargreaves.

We need a win really to get our season up and running although Palace will not be an easy game! Hopefully the new boys may have found their feet but I'm not betting my life on it yet lol!

I blame you! Where you been

Considering the shock results and the continuation of Man Utds troubles, it is shocking that there hasn't been a post in three weeks

Okay, okay, I will in-part admit that it's a little my fault. Been busy with the whole moving country thing - less than four weeks now!

That and I've been lamenting United's season thus far in a healthy barrage of anger and borderline disbelief.

We need to get this thread back up and running!!

I shall start, Newcastle are doing $#@! and Pardew needs to go, really starting to get fed up at how our club is ran and I hate to admit it but I am quickly loosing support for it

Watched the Chelsea game last night and they deserved to win by much more than 1-0 but 3 points is all they need at the minute and that's what they got! I don't want to be known as a glory supporter but Chelsea have so many players I really like at the minute it's hard not to get excited by them! Really rate Schurrle, Drogba, Fabrigas, Da Costa and Oscar I feel myself gaining more support for Chelsea the more I see them play, is that a bad thing??

Did anyone see the story from Sunday, where Mike Ashley 'joked' to a reporter that he was going to sack Pardew this week as he's rubbish? Well, rumour has it that Ashley is now keeping Pardew in place just to prove that reporter wrong.

It's remarkable that such a successful businessman is finding it so hard to run a football club.

For what it's worth, Pardew is a dire manager and blames everything bar himself for poor performances.

It's just really pisses me off because every other football fan is laughing at us and the situation we are in yet nothing is being done, I have seen managers sacked quickly for a lot less than the results we have got recently! I think he is only keeping him there because Pardew just does as he is told and has no input to signings what so ever so it makes life a lot easier for Ashley which just isn't the way a football club should be run and I have just about loss all support for Newcastle which is a shame but I can't take the bull$#@! anymore!
