How much is extended warranty? (UK)

how much extra is extended warranty on the PS3?

im going to get it from either:

GAME UK
or Gamestation

For me in Spain it was around 40 Euros, but im not sure if it was 50 though. I should look for the bill...

Any ways isn't the 1 years manufacturers guarantee good enough for you ?

1 year is ok, but if you get it extended to 3, if something happens to your console, you can just send it and it comes home repaired for 40 Euros, instead of getting 600 on a brand new machine.

well considering within the last 30 minutes my 360 has died on me after 1 year 5 months, im not taking any risks with game consoles ever again.

@jamesgooner. Go to your User Control Panel and go to your friend list. Type the name of your buddies and you are all set. If you meant on PS3, all you gotta do is login to your account, go to add friend, type the name and send a message.

@pez_555. Exactly, thats why i got my warranty. It covers all defects for it. Maybe someday it stars freezing or something, so you just change it for another one or you get it repaired for free!

Sorry to hear about that, but the PS3 is a very solid machine so you don't have to worry about those type of things.

I see most xbox's as ticking time bombs to be honest.

@Doc Evils. Yes, PS3 is a really well done piece of hardware, and it is unlikely that it crashes or freezes. But you never know what is gonna happen, so its just 40 Euros for a 3 year safety!

Update: I just looked at the leaflet GAME gave me when I got my PS3, and it says 39.99 for 3 years cover (1 year manufacturers & 2 year extended warranty cover) 2 years cover 27.99 (1 year manufacturers & 1 year extended warranty.)

just had a look on argos and they offer a 3 year extended warranty for 35 quid. if GAME offer anything similar im sold.
