I can't say that I like Xbox360 but maybe some of you may find this interesting. On Xbox official page it's stated that Project Gotham Racing 3 will only support 2 players localy and up to 8 through System Link. That totaly sucks for the people who wanted to play 3 or 4 players on one Xbox 360.

Does anyone really play 4 player split screen racing games? The screens would be so tiny...

There's no excuse for that. I was pissed off when Rare decided (or was told) not to include 4 player split screen in Conkers Live and Reloaded. My friend did not buy the game because us 4 could not play it.

Yeah, people do all the time. Ever play any racing game on the Cube or 64? They are great fun in 4 player mode.

Oh no way..this is even worse news for PGR3...
Theres lots of people who love playing 4 player, im one of them
Aint nothing better for a group of friends than 4 player split screen racing, especially on things crazy like F-zero or Mario hehe (i prefer wacky racing games, i dont like realistic ones, although that one for PS3, forgot the name just now...but those physics are amazing!)
I wonder what people are going to think of this..
I certainly wouldnt be happy stuck with 2 players offline even if i played online, its the fact that its not their when, say your friends come round, a good night in..."2 players only?! WHAT the hell!"I have no signature.
No, really, i don't. You're just imagining this.

11-18-2005 #11No, Live and Reloaded did NOT support 4 player split screen. Rather you had to have Live to play more than 2...

Seriously this is nex-gen, consoles should support 4 player spilt screen if it's a multiplayer game. It's not that hard is it?

Whenever I play with lots of dudes, we use system link. I understand it's not as practical as 4 player split screen, but the experience is a whole lot better.

i never in my life played a 4 player racing game unless you count car/battle game like twisted metal or vigalanty 8. some people would complain about anything really its no surprize you say you don't like xbox and make a comment like this and say its different or even a bad thing a racing game for the most part is 3rd person and needs a wide horisontal screen to enjoy. platformers like kameo needs to be verticle 2 player and of course FPS's should be 4 player splitor other shooters.

Then you can't have too many friends king.
The N64 and the XBOX were the "party" systems. Having 4 player split screen in a lot of multiplayer games was awsome when i had my friends over. I played 4 player Conkers : BFD split screen on a 17" tv. Do you realize how tiny that is? That didn't mean crap, we could still see and do anything we wanted.
Now-a-days 4 Player split screen is getting slightly outdated, i'll admit it. But for the people who have friends and only one of them has a XBOX or 360, then this is just plain ridiculus. God have it in there for chirst sakes.
It's no suprise you'd make a dumb comment like that either. Are you saying i have to have an XBOX to play racing games? I've played racing games on the N64, PS1 and PS2, even a Nascar demo for the XBOX. I've played 4 player spilt screen...its no surprize you say you don't like xbox and make a comment like this and say its different or even a bad thing a racing game for the most part is 3rd person and needs a wide horisontal screen to enjoy.
I'm arguing on the split screen decision not single player campeign. OF COUSE THE GAME WILL LOOK BETTER single player and 2 player. The point is that is you have 4 players you don't care how great the graphics are in single player but how much fun you can have with 3 other people. Though, you wouldn't be able to relate to this so why am I arguing.
It's not difficult! Unless you have poor eyesight..."It's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace.
