MLB The Show "The data is corrupted."

    Hello:

I have had the PS3 game, MLB The Show, since May 16th (when it came out) and just today-- I accidentally deleted a file and I tried to turn the game on... somehow, the display said:

    "The data is corrupted."

I called EB store seeing if I can exchange for the same game, they said NO. Are there any other options I can do?

    Let me know, thanks!

The game works fine, its your saved game file that is corrupt. You'll probably have to go into your game saves and delete the MLB one and start over again. Sometimes the game will try to re ad it.

What did you have to do to fix it?

I had the issue one time with I think it was Marvel Ultimate Alliance and when I loaded the game it asked me if I wanted it to try and repair the file which it did.

I deleted the file that was Data Cache (I think?) and it was still left "corrupted data" when I tried to log into this game. So, I checked the file again thinking it was already gone, however it wasn't. So, I had to delete that corrupted data and now it works.

Good stuff. What usually happens is when you quiet the game while the HDD light indicator is flashing. It does this with PS2 saves as well. Sometimes it will show nothing under my PS2 memory cards even though I have many saves in it.
