1000 Members

Well no one else seems to care enough to make a thread for this occasion so I thought I might. Post your thoughts about the forum finally reaching 1000 members, memories, the future of the board etc....etc...

I'll say this, I remember being the 18th member on these message boards. I recall it seeming like it would take 2 or 3 days before a few good posts were made. Now I cant keep up with the ammount of activity on the boards. This place sure has come a long way.

actually, i wanted to be the first to post that there were a thousand members but i just forgot, o well, this forum is really growing now and i hope in less than a year starting today we'll get 2000 members...

i'm especcially glad that im one of the top 10 members

yea i would of posted it as well if i hadnt of forgot
i remember after when i first joined before blake which was psx_junkie then was a moderator he, morph, rebon and i were pretty much the only regular posters
man its grown since then

i would like to thank blake, rebonuk and morph for all the work they have done on these boards which enabled it to get to where it is today, and to be a good place where i can discuss the ps3 and forget about all the problems in my life lol

Here's hoping the forum will really take off in 2005. I hope that E3 will provide us with some tantalising official pictures and information that we can talk about in detail and hopefully spur a whole new wave of members to join.

I saw 999 people registered but couldn't wait till 1000 because I had to go.

Anyway, congratz PS3 Forums. I just post on PSI next with the link in my signature and if people choose to they could register.

I hope this forum does take off this year.

I wanna know how people got to this forum. Here's my story:
I went on google, in my head I wanted to start being a gamer so I searched PS3 or playstation 3 not sure and the first thing to pop up want PS3Portal. I don't know how you did that but still got some people here. After I got that site it took my awhile before I decided to register for this forum.

I am still new here, but I would like to say that this is a great forum. I know how not many forums will ever reach this many members with this many actice members. It's one of my favorites.

as for how i got here, ive been comming by these forums for longer than ppl know i just never registered or posted. I wanted to find out what the Ps2 and PS3 gaming crowd was talking about first hand.
Unfortunatly alot of the larger PS2 forums have major fanboy issues. (Some ppl acted like Xbox and Gamecube killed their mother or sumthing

) But luckily i found the ps3 forums where all gamers were welcome and the people posted intelligently.

I think I found these forums searching yahoo to see if there were any PS3 related sites around. This and PS3I ended up being the best ones...I opted to sign up here since the forums were relatively new and I enjoy coming on to forums that are new and seem to have a promising future.

i was a regular member on ps3i but because of various reasons about a year ago i felt that ps3i was going downhill fast so i looked for a new forum for me to go on, and this was the one i chose
and yes bonus points would be nice

i also found this foum by searching google for any PS3 things so i can learn about it, and when i typed in PS3 pics i chose the link that brought me to PS3 land, then from there, i came here

and this is a great forum cause (like someone else said) there are rarely fanboys, and makes it just a "better" forum

I accidently typed in Playstation 3 instead of Playstation 2, found PS3LAND and found the ps3forums on there. Fortunate accident, I guess.

I looked up PS3 on google found the site made one post(the one asking if you wanted me to make a how to repair the PS2 guide) then I left for a few months then I was looking through my history found the site and started to post regularly

That's not the part stating the number of registered users. That's referring to the amount of people that were online all at once. But I get it the way you do as well...the "1" part is supposed to be the date...it's a glitch.

Glitchy woo i love em.. its some times makes me laugh, like the explodeing lara cheat... wow! BOOM shes gone! like magic, lol i was just saying it in case morph could possibly fix the glitch, or rebon...

o wow, today is said to be the worst day of the year, but here on this forum, its an absolutely grate day. 191 users online on Mon Jan 24!!! (one of the mods or admins, please unlock the "New Forum Record" thread, just to post the new records. i dont see why its locked in the first place

Me neither. This was great news. I am pleased to see that we nearly got past 200 users online. It's going to be a little while longer before we get 200 'registered' users online, but oh well

. Anyway, I think I will unlock that thread.

That sounds like a browser dependent problem to me. As far as I'm aware there aren't any glitches using Internet Explorer. I assume it's probably a FireFox error.
