It probably has to do with the game Trusty Bell. Even I was thinking of getting another 360 for that and 2 other games. That is, when the hardware problems are fixed.

This is not about the 360's sales jumping. We ALL do know it's about Trusty Bell for them and in a relatively short time it'll probably die back down again (It might take a few weeks or it could be next week, we'll see).

With that said, the fact that NGS with all the hype it's been getting here can't seem to move a piece of hardware to any major degree should be exceedingly alarming.

I remember back in january Sony said they had shipped 1 million PS3 consoles in japan. 6 months later and they still have not sold all of them.

Yeah, of course, and next week the 360 will be down again to the usual 2-3k.

Anyway, first day sales should be up in some hours. So should be interesting with at least FolkSoul and Itadaki Street for the DS.

Will FolkSoul move any PS3s? I dunno, Sigma wasn't a good sign. + It's going to be overshadowed by two new DS colors + Zelda + Itadaki Street.

Hmm ok Gundam jump sales up for the Ps3 by 20,000, I woner what Hotshots Gold will od? The game is more populer, and the stores had 300,000 preorders.and it did push some Hardware, it was lower for some weeks.I just notice the PS3 is alomst at 1 million in Japan

The amount that the DS manages to sell week in and week out doesn't make sense. The games do not justify it at all.

And BTW you could stretch it say nearly an 1/8th of PS3 owners in Japan bought Sigma.

Also, the DS has lots of great games. If it didn't it wouldn't have sold as much as it does.

WOW, Trusty Bell only moved 5k units? 360 is dead over there.

NGS isn't much of a surprise, they've already played it. Most probably downloaded the demo and figured it was the same but better looking. Hot Shots Golf 5 should move units when it releases, especially with the price drop.

well trusty bell(eternal sonata) its a rpg and we all now japanese love rpg's so thats it even with less 360 out there they will be more rpg sold than other genre

Compared to what exactly? From what I can see it is competing with the DS. The DS is killing it. Therefore, the PSP is getting killed by the competition.

Just because a bunch of little girls & confused boy's have ran out and brought a DS then DSlite,black,white,pink,blue,etc,etc

What price drop? And I don't think a lot of Playstation owners owned and played Ninja Gaiden considered it was released for the Xbox in Japan.
