The Godfather Teaser Trailer [a next-gen game?]

A possible next-generation game? Who knows, but it's slated for an end of 2005 release. Xbox 2 maybe?

At the moment, EA won't confirm which format the game is set for or a definite release date. But this clip does reveal that the late Marlon Brando allowed his cotton-wool stuffed face to appear in the game and that the title should appear Stateside towards the end of next year.

So while the clip is more of a teaser than a taste of how the action will unfold, why not sit back and listen to that famous music as a fabulously rendered version of Don Vito Corleone explains this thing of ours, just before he discovered that oranges are not the only fruit.

Looks good. I was a bit sceptical as to whether a Godfather game would work as a video game, but the trailer seems to capture the Film quite well. We will just have to wait an see what the gameplay is like though.

That's probably because you don't have QuickTime, which you should, because it's a standard now. You can get it here: www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

You have to have the latest version of QuickTime. Check to see if you have version 6.5...if you don't, then it's not going to work for you. All FTP means is "File Transfer Protocol." It's a medium through which files can be shared. It's not the reason you can't download it.

Here's the original link, but it just leads you back to the FTP site: Godfather Trailer

ya, i dont have version 6.5 and i dont im going to buy it because i dont think im going to use it as much.

anyways i did see the trailer (from ign) and at first i thought it was a movie (ofcourse i knew it was a game but damn it looked like a movie big time) but the trailer was very short. and it didnt have much, if any, about the game.. but graphics wise, if the PS3 is going to look like that, i wont be dissapointed at all

Although the Trailer looks good, I really hope it turns out to be a very good game as EA have grabbed the rights to one of the greatest movies ever.

You don't have to buy it. It's free. And it will say free. When you buy it, you get a boatload of new options, but you don't need to just to view media.

I'm just boycotting their sports titles.

I think I can do that. EA does come out with an innovative title every now and then, but I think I'm not going to buy Burnout 12.

plenty of people feel the same way
that 1 person could easily turn into 10, and then those 10 could turn into 100, and then 1000, and then 10000 etc etc

The only thing i can see beeing nnovative in EA is The sims, and it isnt the best innovative game ive seen, in fact when you look at it from my perspective its just copying from life, if they made it more whacky and melodramatic, like Alien abuctions happening to the paper girl, and stuff that you see in Smallville happening in the sims i think it could be a cooler game than it already is... But any ways thats going off topic, so you all shouldnt follow up on this post..

EA doesn't come up with innovative titles, but they do come up with innovative ways of playing a game. The "Hit Stick" from Madden, Using the analog stick on Fight Night, and why are games like NBA Street, NFL Street, and SSX not innovative. Sure we had NBA Jam and NFL Blitz but EA hugely improved on that genre. I love EA as you can see

I don't know if this is going to be on PS3...but it is going to be on PS2, Xbox and GameCube, I believe. It's only on the Xbox 2 list right now, though. There's hardly any confirmed PS3 titles. I'm sure there'll be many milked games upon release, which is fine with me, as long as they're VERY good games to add to their predecessors.

its hard for them to confirm any titles on the ps3 just because they dont have any kits, so if they are going to confirm any titles, all they're going to confirm is the name...
