To be perfectly honest, the main reason I bought a PS3 was because of the reliability issue with the 360. I just don't trust the thing (for obvious reasons) and I couldn't bring myself to drop another nickel on a product with such a horrid track record.
That said, since there's a billion people posting here, I'd like to see some poll results. I'd like to eventually contrast the results with those on another board I frequent. Based on 445 votes:
I'm on my 1st 360: 47.64%
I'm on my 2nd 360: 33.03%
I'm on my 3rd 360: 12.58%
I'm on my 4th 360: 3.15%
I'm on my 5th [or more] 360: 3.60%
[Just for the record, that's a 52.36% failure rate, at minimum.]
I know it's still early, but how's the PS3 stacking up so far?

I had a minor glitch, when plugging in a Logitek keyboard via USB and starting the PS3, it would assign the controller to port 2, and the keyboard was then put in port 1. This was only and issue on firmware 1.32 for me, and after updating to 1.51, I have had no issues, other than the occasional freezing. I have had the most freezes with the Home beta, and before that Tony Hawk 8.
I own COD4, MotorStorm, THP8, R:FoM, Oblivion, Dark Kingdom, Enchanted Arms, MK II, QBert, Ch. Sprint, Gauntlet II, Blast Factor, Super Rub'a'dub, Lemmings, Go!SportsSki, Go!Sudoku, Go!Puzzle, Gripshift, Super Stardust, Home Beta, Piyotama, High Stakes on the Vegas Strip, LocoRoco Cocoroccho, Everyday Shooter, Warhawk, Auqatopia, Creature Feature, Pain, HV Bowling, ToT, Mesmerize. mine is the 20GB from the launch and its been on for Folding@Home for weeks and months non stop and its fine. I'm simply amazed at how sony managed to cram in NEW TECH and not have any issues with it. Now thats perfect engeneering.

Ps3 has less than 1% failer rate.

Should I sue Microsoft for taking my Name? Cutting it in half and making it into a crap excuse for a search engine....If you think I can win, lets do this

Like I've said from time and time again. Sony has always built the most durable hardware there is. Whether its a stereo system, DVD player TV, PC, or the PS3. ITs going to be very durable. Sony is the Master in this caregory and MS and Nintendo will never even challenge Sony in this category.

I haven't had a single problem (since feb. 7) with my ps3, this thing is probably the most durable thing I have and I love it.
