Well i've been thinking, who actually cares about rumble? I haven't even noticed it's absence. I see people wanting it and talking about like it would make a great difference. I don't need it to enjoy a game, do you?

yeah 2 words... i care
Rumble really does add to games for me. The torture scene in darkness was much better on 360 thanks to the rumble. I could list tons of games but i cant be bothered.
so in a nutshell, i care about rumble.WII FRIEND CODE = 5509 0447 7406 7959

I think rumble was cool 5 years ago. I remeber a device called the arura interacter that was a rumble chest plate, I used to use it for my ps1 and snes. That thing right there was killer, did not mess up you and your controller but made you feel 10x more into the games back then then rumble does for me on the 360. Personally I do not want a rumbling controller, it only hurts my game play for the most part. I always turned it off for PS2, never really liked it. I see it as a female gamer want more then anything.

When will people come to there senses?

Most games don't need it, but some benefit from it. When you're pitching in a baseball game, for example. The rumble would tell me when I'm at the edge of the strike zone. I find it hard to live without in that case.

Rumble was only cool back on ps1/n64. A handful of games used it for real purposes, the rest just added it on to follow the crowd. Gamers overreacted when they took out rumble. It's not even useful these days.

personally, i think it is a gimmick. if it's going to half my controller battery life, then forget it. I don't want it. I would rather have the rumble chest pad. it would be cool if you could feel bullets hitting you instead of your fingers vibrating.

That is a good point and noticed it on the 360 version of mlb 2K7. That is about the only time it has come in handy. The first time it happend I was like whats going on, is your controller broke? lol. Good point forgot all about that, but I have gotten good enough with the show to not need it, but could see why some really like it!!!

In it's present form, no
I ain't miss it, but I'm interested in Touchsense rumble
that could change games, ok getting shot at in a game & the pad rumbling is ok, but it don't change the gameplay
you are still none the wiser about which direction you are getting shot from
but if the controller could indicate though this touchsense technology where you're being hit from.....that makes a big difference

I do care and I don't at the same time. It would be nice to have it but it doesn't matter a whole lot. I liked rumble in some games but hated in others. It really depends. However, I would like the option to be there. I don't like that we'll have to buy newer controllers just to get rumble. I'd rather get FragFX instead XD Cause you don't need rumble with that.
Praise the lord! Next stop: Ni No Kuni.

I ain't crazy about it missing, but I honestly wouldn't mind
rumble coming back. It would only add to the experience
we already have. It will only make, not break, what's already there.
I love the Sixaxis, but rumble also was fun. Plus there are plenty
of games out now which I believe can take advantage of it.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma for example. I can picture the rumble
being used when Ryu does his nimpo or w/e it's called

Yes, I care! I play on both PS3 and Xbox 360 routinely at various houses, and the PS3 games always feel like they are lacking something - certainly the racing games. The controller is too light, and needs rumble, no matter how "minor" people think it might be!
It's not about being needing it to enjoy a game. It's about adding that simple extra dimension. Going back to driving games, you can both hear and feel when you are driving over a rumble strip, you can hear and feel when a car is nudging you from behind. You can feel the relative smoothness of different surfances. Lack of rumble isn't a deal-breaker, but it sure dues compromise the overall package.Phat boy gone slim!

damb people are so ungreatful. when the rumble first came out everyone peed themselves with joy. Now all of the sudden it's not good enough. Rumble is a necessary step for next gen gaming. Mlb is an awsome point(where the hell is the strike zone). I want to feel a hit when i hit stick in madden, I want to know when im getting shot in the back. when i heard sony paid of immerson ive had rumble controller wet dreams ever since. most who dont care are just accepting the fact that they already purchased a rumbleless controller and theres nothing we could do about it.

I don't care about rumble, most of the time I just find it annoying.
-

if sony is in fact releasin a sixaxis with rumble capability, then they better have some damn innovation, not just the same vibration used in previous generations. How cool would it be for each of the buttons to have a seperate vibrator? Like while playing tekken,a light punch causes the square button to lightly vibrate, but if you find your ass in a grenade explosion in Resistance,EVERYTHING vibrates

I always turned of rumble anyways...so no I do not care.
-

only if they bring the new technology touch sense i wouldnt mind it luckily i havnt boughten any new controllers so it wouldnt bother me so much either

Might as well save me the trouble and put your face in my cross-hairs, Why delay the inevitable?

Who needs rumble in the controller when you have a 18" concert subwoofer powered by a 1200 watt RMS amp.

The whole room rumbles!
But yeah, I haven't even noticed it was gone, probably because it really doesn't make much of a difference, especially if you are really involved in the game, and don't have the attention/need to realize if the controller is rumbling or not.
