uninformed about halo 3

i dont really follow halo 3 at all. ive played the beta and ive seen like one trailer and talked to my firend about it, but i keep hearing how innovative it is
especially the online. maybe its just cause it was a beta but i really didnt see and outstanding innovation except maybe taking videos of your gameplay. from what ive seen it trailers the graphics are good and physics are good but thats become stabndard in games today and i dont see an innovative cover system. 4 player co-op imo will be more fun in Haze. so i guess what im asking is what are all these innovations im hearing about concerning halo 3. i havent seen anyhting like the user created content in the new iunreal tournamnt or a pretty cool cover system in the killzone vid or like in Gow. from what ive seen its a halo 2 with really good graphics and physics....and an atv. i dont want to piss anyone off i just really want to know.

But believe me here, when this game comes out, the reviewers will look pass that this game is lacking behind others in various departments.

halo isnt really famous for ingenuity, but for solid gameplay. what makes halo better than other similar games is really harder to express than one would think.

I dunno, not a big fps fan here but i dont see H3 as a possible flop just yet.

It doesn't have to flop with sales, but look at how resistance was recieved. They said it was a great game, but it "didn't" bring anything new to the table. That's pretty much what i'm seeing here with halo 3

I agree that it likely wont revamp the game-play any more than halo 2 did. But is that little step up enough a reason to get the next gen? Do we want to see more classic halo style fun? continue on the halo storyline all the while seeing more and more amazing graphics and physics? Yes. Definitely.

By flop i was not referring to sales but rather to game quality.

I expect the work to be superb, though not particularly unique.

I wouldn't call Halo3 revolutionary or innovative. It's evolutionary at best, and certainly designed with more graphical improvments in mind to make use of the additional power of the 360. We'll likely have to wait for the game to see if there is any real improvement in the campaign gameplay (perhaps a better, more complex AI?). That said, it should draw on what worked in the matchmaking over XBL, which is really what made H2 so strong. To put it simply, it was just a fun game. The Beta showed some different game types that will be used and obviously the new weapons which changes some of the dynamics, but ultimately, I think it will be a fun game that people can pick up games quickly and easily.

I still play Halo2 online when I can (hell, I occasionally still play the Halo and Halo2 campaigns), but the cheating had gotten rediculous. Hopefully, it won't be an issue on the 360 as that was really the only major downside of the game.
