Seeing as Consoles seem to be getting smaller all the time and too are the chips inside them, I was wondering if the PS3 will be bigger or smaller then the PS2?

Size: Bigger or Smaller?

I'm don't think they'd want to make it any bigger. My prediction is it will either be the same size or smaller.

This... is my BOOMSTICK!

i think itll be the same size as the newer ps2s they have been coming out with. maybe inbetween the size of the original ps2s and the size of the newer ones
-
01-31-2005 #4I highly doubt that. They're just putting too much hardware into the PS3 this time to manage a DVD case sized console.i think itll be the same size as the newer ps2s they have been coming out with.
I can see that. I would hope so.maybe inbetween the size of the original ps2s and the size of the newer ones

I imagine it will be just a tiny but bigger that the original PS2. A little bit deeper. But practically no difference than the PS2.

01-31-2005 #6Yep thats what I think. Any bigger than PS2 would be too big. Now, as long as Sony don't loose it and make it Xbox size then we will all be okay!

I ahve seen what the PS3 most likeley will look like(it's on the net) and even if it wouldnt be like that i'd say it would be about the same size as todays systems, I like that size, not too small(Gamecube) o to gigantic err big(x box). I'm not a fanboy, but the original design and size of the Playstation 2 is the perfect size, It fits in most places, and it has a hella cool design

NO, not thoose crappy pics at PS3portal(except one of them wich is awsome, the one shaped like a chopped up colum...or whatever, the round silver one)
No i mean the concept version wich some sony official made. He said the PS3 would have a somewhat likeness in the design of one of Sony's new DVD players and DVD burners.

You could post the image so we could have some idea of what you're talking about.

Ok, i'll find it, i dont have it on my PC(and dont think i'm some kind of lier wich just makes shit up and when they want proof he says he dont have it and say he will go online and find it, and then come saying he didt find it. maybe they listed the pic on Ps3portal(doubt it though)
This sin't an official pic, but it said that this was the general idea.

i just hope the PS3 is the same size as the PS2, but since the PS3 will be crammed with all sorts of special features, it may be larger than the older PS2 model. we wont know for sure until E3, so we have almost 4 months to wait
(i cant wait)
Playing: Untold Legends: Warriors Code, Shadow Hearts: From the New World, Dragon Quest 8, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

Website Proposal
Well everyone, I quit my job at Website Pros. I just got bored with doing the same thing every day 300 times a day and I want to move to something that I want in terms of my life career.
So here is what I have to do. My mom is friends with this really really rich millionaire guy...he invented the "surge protector" and he has worked with NASA and stuff....anyway, he is rich. I have known this guy since I was born and he has recently retired. All he does now is spend his money on helping young people start their dreams...he is an investor.
Well, since I currently quit my job and now I am looking to start my life career I figured I would go to him for a proposal. I am like a son to him so most likely I will get the money for whatever I want, as long as I have a plan.
Basically, I want to start a website. Or websites. I need to find out how to make money from having a website, whether its e-comerce or just ahving 1000's of hits like PS3Land.com everyday. Then I need to decide what kind of site. Game site, ect... I need help on where to go for gettting design and programming. Where to get advertising.
Basically I was wondering if Rebon could help me since he has set all his stuff up here at PS3Land.com and HolyLemon and whatever else... Or if anyone else has expierence and could give me pointers.
I would also be willing to go partnership with somone if any of you are wanting to branch off and start something new or even perhaps working here Rebon for PS3Land.com and turning it into a learning expierence / full-time job. Then once I have learned how rto do everything I can go out on my own someday and start my own websites.
I was thinking, start here, use my connections, learn from others, then start a few of my own websites.
Websites I want to start:
Profile website: Who Justin is, what I do, ect. links to other things
Graphic Design/Web Designer Site: basically offering my myself to building graphics and basic sites...
Gaming Site: Maybe branch and start a site that would help here at PS3Land...or something
E-com Site: Sell items or specific items online
A forum: start a forum with basic ads
Basically I feel if I can get to a point where I ahve multiple sites running and have little money coming from each site to myself after expenses then with multipling that little wage by the number of sites I run it turns into a pretty decent money making machine.
Any ideas??? My eyes and ears are open. I need help on developing ideas or getting new ones...I ahve to come up with a business proposal by Friday.

Justin, it's not easy making web sites, especially one which you can make a living off. You have a lot of ideas, but maybe it's a better one to decide on one site that you would like to make first, and go from there. Maintaining one takes a lot of time, and people usually don't have the energy for more
For layouts, you can check out http://templatemonster.com It's quite cheap compared to most sites, but the catch is that you won't be using the design exclusively. And if you need any scripts, http://hotscripts.com is a good place to get free ones
so you can save some money
Why do people depend on eachother? ...When in the end your on your own.

First off, getting everything sorted by Friday is NOT going to happen. Put a stop to that immediately, and think about seeing him in a month.
You need to choose one idea - one single idea that you think will be successful - and dedicate all your energy into making that idea work. Spend some time thinking about what you are good at, and what you enjoy. What do you thikn you could do really really well? Research the hell out of your ideas and talk to as many people as possible.
Straight off the bat -
1. Profile website - that won't make you any money.
2. There are thousands of designers who are amazing who arn't making money doing this. I dont think this is a career.
3. Maybe, but it requires a lot of research and planning. Its tough to get into and it's taken me 3 years for PS3Land to get where we are today.
4. E-com site - now you're talking. You need to research deeply what products are out there, how you could promote the site etc...
5.Forum - Very tough to get started and make money with.
This is a long process and not something you can magically 'start'. It's going ot take hard work and sheer dedicatation, as well as time. I am seriously, preparing this by Friday is bogus.

Hey Rebon....how about this idea:
I combine a gaming site, that helps PS3Land.com ect, and my ecom site together...
How about I get my friend to give me money to set up a PS3Land.com store....something like ps3store.com
I can sell PS3forums, PS3portal, PS3Land, and other fan associated PS3 gear on the website. Remember the idea I had to have PS3Land.com t-shirts andd stuff. Maybe I could get the money to help and we can partner on this. Basically I can get a company to set it up and get the design and everything, and you can help with ideas and providing the rights to the PS3Land logo and everything.... the money can be split to expenses and then split between you and me and morpheus.
Of course I would need to highly construct and research the idea and its not somethig that will be set up right away, but what do you think?
I mean we would have more than just PS3Land.com merchandise on there, but T-shirts that say "This is Living" ect... I will do more research on the idea if it sounds like something to go with.
*edit:
I did some basic research and "PS3 store", "PS3 merchandise" on google and there is nothing! Its a completely open market for the taking!
Possible idea: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/makemoney/
They would handle all product creation, credit card processing, shipping and customer service.

Hmm. I don't think this is what you are looking for. I say that because we are already going to have a CafePress store once the new site opens. This won't make a whole lot of money -- we'd be doing it mainly for the advertising factor.
You need to look to products which you can sell, or places where money could be made - but isn't currently. There are plenty of better opportunities which you need to spend time considering.
