Yes using certain types of Forum slang are againset the rules...But Maybe we could create a list to better help some members come to terms with terms that arn't against the rules?

Well in that case, here's a few technical abbreviations:
FMV: Full Motion Video
CGI: Computer Generated Imagery
AA: Anti Aliasing
FSAA: Full Screen Anti Aliasing
FPS: Frames Per Second (could also be easily mistaken for First-Person Shooter)
CPU: Computer/Central Processing Unit
GPU: Graphics Processing/Processor Unit
And here's a few terms for games:
RPG: Role-Playing Game
MMO: Massively Multiplayer Online
MMORPG: Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game :P
FPS: First-Person Shooter

HDD = Hard Disk Drive (Or simply Hard Drive)
HD = High Definition
These two terms are confused a lot.
