Yes I have indeed searched.
I can't get Remote Play working between my PSP firmware 3.50 M33 and PS3 firmware 1.90.
PS3 tells me to connect the PSP with USB cable, in USB mode. I do so. It doesn't detect the PSP, no matter how many different ways I try it. It didn't work either in 3.40 OE-A.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Josh
Solution from post 15:
YES! I did it.
Here's how I did it, for anyone else with the same problem.
1. Download Chilly Willie's Keycleaner from http://pspupdates.qj.net/index.php?pg=49&aid=91500 (thanks wonders1982).
2. Install it like a normal homebrew application, in either your GAME or GAME150 folder.
3. Run it, and get it to DUMP the keys by hitting Square at the first screen, then X to dump. The current idstorage keys will go into the Keycleaner\keys folder.
4. Repair the keys by hitting X at the main screen, then repairing from memory stick WITHOUT using from files, something like that.
5. You'll be left with one bad key, either 0x0006 or 0x0043. Download a hex editor (I found HxD from http://mh-nexus.de/downloads/HxDen.zip to work the best) and connect your PSP in USB mode. Open the hex editor and with it, open the one key (0x0006.bin or 0x0043.bin, whatever Keycleaner tells you is bad) and use this text file http://harleyg.net/docs/idtable.txt to modify that key. Save it in a different folder, like Keycleaner\goodkey.
6. Disconnect your PSP and run Keycleaner once again. Hit X from the main screen, then fix from memory stick. It will tell you that it has found a key in the folder "keys". Press O to skip that folder. When it tells you it's found a key in "goodkey" or whatever you named the new folder, hit X to use that one. Keycleaner repairs it and goes back to the main screen.
7. Now you can connect your PSP in USB mode to your PS3 and register it!!
Good luck to all those who had the same problem and unsuccessfully tried to fix it.

It detects the PSP as a storage drive fine, I can browse it, I can play the music, videos, pics from it, just doesn't detect it when I'm trying to register a device in Remote Play.

Restore/reset your PSP settings, then try again. I had a similar problem with 3.51 M33. Hopefully that will do the trick, it worked for me with PS3 fw 1.80, I haven't tried with 1.90 yet though...

That doesn't work for me

upgrade to 3.52 M33 see what happens.

Probably won't make any difference since I've tried this in PS3 1.81 (or whatever was before 1.90) + PSP 3.40 OE-A, and PS3 1.90 + PSP 3.40 OE-A/3.50 M33

Just a hunch, but Sony may have programmed the PS3 to do some sort of checksum of the PSP's firmware when you try to register it now. If so, it could be possible that 1.9 isn't aware of the 'official' checksum for an unmodified 3.52 PSP firmware and so upgrading to it (the M33 version of course) might work (until the next PS3 firmware update that is). You have nothing to lose updating to 3.52 M33 and trying.
