I've seen a few members post their plans on which system to buy for, and honestly I'm torn between the two. Hopefully I'm not the only one who can benefit from this. I'm leaning towards the PSP as of now because...well I'm not really sure.

well, since its the best driving simulator ever created for a home console, im going to get it for both, PS2 and PSP.

That would be the simplest solution, but I'm not going to count on having the extra duckies to fork out for both. Also, beating it on both systems might be a nuisance, but I see GT4 as being one of those titles that has priceless replay value.
By the way, if you vote...please post your opinions and why you voted as you did. Thanks.

well I honestly dont want my sibilings to play with my PSP (this might sound a bit selfish though
) so that way if i get both versions, they could play with the console when i want to play with the PSP, but ofcourse I will still play on my console
.

The PSP version will be slightly different from the PS2 version. I will more then likely get both of them. That way I can still play GT4 when I'm not at home. Especially good since I might be going on a 5 week summer educational program and you can't bring consoles.
When will GT4 for PSP come out?

Both of course!!!, there will be connectivity between the games

No the PSP hits the US on the 29th. Hopefully GT4 will soon after.
Knowitman....do you know exactly what the differences will be? That's another reason I've been debating over this.

The cars will have fewer polygons and maybe some fewer cars, but I think it will have differnet cars to make up for it. The scenery may have also been downgraded a bit, but on the smaller screen you won't notice it much if any at all.

Hmm. What puzzles my is the recently much discussed idea of the PSP and PS3 being connected, and even communicating game information. In the event that you have both GT4 games, and were able to play the console version on the handheld, i could easily see the UMD version just being an extension of that game.
Thusly, the UMD game would go beyond the console version in cars, and maybe even plot (?) but would still have to fit back into the console version pretty seemlessly.
unless of course they just figure "Hey, its a game they all like, they'll buy no matter what we do", in which......i'll probably still end up buying them both.

I stand corrected.
Colonel, do you have any details or a source on the connectivity between the PS2 version and PSP version? As far as I'm concerned, that in itself is a very good reason to purchase both.

yes PSP comes out march 24th, and as far as i've seen the release date for GT4 for PSP is TBA
Let me guess, you picked out yet another colorful box with a crank that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! big shock, a jack pops out and you laugh and the kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside.

Still TBA but it looks like end of march, right along with PSP, or nearby

oh well it seems that they do plan on releaseing it with the PSP and if not that then for sure very soon after. and if they dont im afraid it may hurt PSP sales.

New screens have emerged for upcoming PS3 title Armored Core 4. The game features high flying mechs equiped with some of the largest guns in gaming. Live!
Again, sorry for delay.
Maybe it would be a good idea in future to date the folder? So when we come to update with more images, it's easy to think of a new folder name.
So, for example, ArmoredCore4_1609
(or, I guess for you it would be ArmoredCore4_0916
)
