Ok, so here's my dig.
Out of the back of my 44" DLP I hear a pretty high pitched noise like a fan or something not working perfectly. After turning my set off and back on again, it becomes a "grinding" noise and all the colors on the screen get very red. After a lot of research on the net I figure something's wrong with my color wheel. Either it has been knocked out of alignment, a bearing is going bad, whatever.
What I'm wondering is if anyone has any information on whether or not it would be possible to adjust the existing color wheel without completely replacing it.
I could probably take the tv apart enough to get to it no problem, but once there I don't really know much.
Anyone have any opinions?
And before anyone says the following, I have already tried to search this to no avail, when the grinding isn't there it works perfectly so I'm about 90% sure it's the color wheel, and don't bring up callin the manufacturer or anything like that.

Chance it is still under warranty? That is one of the reasons I didn't even think of getting a DLP.
