You should really just talk to sony. I think that some routers and modems dont get along well with the PS3.

What NAT type you got? That seems to be a recurring problem for some people....internet is perfect, but the PSNetwork is a little dodgy. I had this problem for a while...turned off my media server thing, and just turn it on whenever your actually using it....check the NAT type tho, and post what nat type you have.

I'm getting the same problem.. I've got my network cable running from my PS3 to the Ethernet port thing in the back of my network card or whatever it is, so I'm able to connect and all, but after about 10 minutes or so it will disconnect me with an 8002ADC3 Error. Do I need a router or something? Does anyone know a fix?

One thing that's worth trying is to unplug your modem for 10 seconds before reconnecting it and then unplug your router for about 10 seconds before reconnecting it. Then see if your connection is a bit more stable. Seems to work for me every now and again. Not sure why though.

Power surging or, power cycling as they call...removing the network cable for a limited time.........it helps for a limited time, but this is a problem that persists because somethings need to be adjusted....like the NAT3 which restricts your online gaming and chat capabilities.....or other things....it all depends..;....'afaWRAS

You know the old thing about turning it off, then on again?

    1. Turn off your PS3 and computer (I assume you have one, but u might be posting on your ps3 browser).
    2. Turn off your router and modem (probably just pull the plugs right out)
    3. Wait a whole minute.
    4. Make sure you've waited a minute.
    5. Turn on your modem
    6. wait 30 seconds, or until all the right lights/indicators are on
    7. Turn on your router
    8. Wait 30 seconds
    9. Turn on your PS3

Sorry if this is obvious, but a lot of people panic before trying this process. Sometimes things just need a reboot.

This has nothing to do with turning off the modem or ps3 for any amount of time.. Anyone know a fix?

this is entirely un-neccessary....you don't need to shut down everything and unplug everything....lol....what NAT type do you have?

Could the problem be my setup? I've got my standard modem, which is going into the phone line, then a USB cord running from that to the back of my computer, then the ethernet cable running from my ps3 to the back of the computer. Do i need a router?

NAT 2 shouldn't be a problem than, its only NAT 3 i heard that can affect the online gaming and chat features.....is the ip address for the ps3 different than the computers? lol, like in the internet connection set up? you don t want any ip address conflicts so ya may wanna check dat....

Fixed the problem after half a year.. my setup was wrong. I had to purchase a router and run it through that. Outbreak, are you just running your ethernet cable to the back of your computer without using a router?

    Same problem here....

Anyone found a solution to this? I've power cycled mine many times and it just keeps happening.

I have a Linksys WRT54G - but I am hard wired into it. I got tired of the wireless signal dropping.

Everthing works fine, I just keep getting kicked off the network. Once I sign back in I am fine for a bit, but then get the same error after a while.

I really don't think it's a problem with the ps3, I replaced my router and it worked fine.

    Solved for me

Well, with my Linksys WRT54G I decided to set a static IP address, and then found some post that recommended some static DNS servers.

I then went through and forwarded the PSN ports to the PS3 IP address and it works great.

In fact, I must have had a lot of network issues because when I had done things like d/l the Heavenly Sword anime each episode would easily take an hour or two.

Part 3 took less than 15 minutes for me last night - and it didn't sign out once.

I did notice though that when watching a dvd it appears to have suspended d/l. I thought it was supposed to d/l in the background? Or is that just during games?

    rader023 -

I used these IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS servers:

    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

If you read the comments here you will see them listed. Comment #6.

    http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-...rs-address-is/

I have never had my PS3 work so well on the network.

I did this - I set my PS3 to have a static IP address on my network, and then forwarded the PSN ports to it using this article:

    http://www.portforward.com/english/r...on_Network.htm

And I was in business. Good luck!

    Internet but no PS3 Network

Ok, sounds weird but I can connect to the internet on the PS3 no problem through my wireless router. The problem is I can't get connected to the on-line network. DNS error 8002AE1D., any ideas? or is it a problem with Sony 's server?
