Is my controller going bad? or?

when i am playing cod3 multiplayer sometimes i lose control of my soldier/gun or whatever you want to call it. Sometimes it spins out of control where i cant stop it and other times it just keeps moving in one direction and I lose control of it temperarily.
I'm wondering is my controller losing its function.(i've only had it since January) or is it a wireless connection issue.

its a wireless issue for the meantime until they decide to do a firmware update to update the bluetooth

Have you tried another controller on your PS3?.. Then you'll be able to find out whether it is the controller or not.

I know an explanation was given however i'm just being realistic and giving an alternative approach to the problem.

I have the same problem with one of my controller's it does the same thing I thought it was something inside the controller but nothing so now its just collecting dust at the moment

I actually had that problem often when i first got my ps3 while playing single player resistance. I havn't had the problem since until recently while playing multiplayer resistance i lost controll and just started spinning in place til i hit the PS button. But i still managed to kill the guy i was next to when i regained control so no problem there lol.

My sixaxis is fine.Working great.Both of them.I hope it all works out dude.I would hate to lose a sixaxis controller.

THIS HAPPEND to me playing single player in cod3
i tryed to thow the grende but the button was not doing it.
i charged the contoller but that did not help i had to start the game over

Cod 3 is just a bad game on the ps3.It screws with all ps3's i dont even want cod 3 anymore.

i actually had this same problem on resistance a few times. it'll prolly be fixed in a future firmware release.

Both of my controllers have a mind of their own, but so far I've only had trouble with first person shooters. Hopefully it's fixable.. it does get annoying.

Uh oh i think your controllers are possessed.lol j/k.They arent possessed maybe its a bluetooth or wireless problem.

maybe just the game?? if other people are experiencing it then it can't be the controller

Yeah, I don't think it's a hardware issue either. I have two controllers, and they both act up. And I sit about 3 feet from my ps3 when I play (I have the ps3 hooked up to my PC monitor).

Heck, maybe Sephiroth is right. Maybe there are ghosts in my apartment that want to play Resistance.
