HELP!which one is better?

Ok before you go and buy a graphics card tell me what other components you have and how much money you have to spend.
If you don't want to bother with those details then the XFX is a much better deal.
Same card as the BFG but faster, and the BFG is way too expensive for a card that is not only a little slower but comes with a game that you can get at a really decent price seperately.
If you have $500 but you can afford an extra $148 I'de say get the 7800gtx:

If you can afford an extra $216 I'de reccomend the ati X1800 XT:
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...Tab=2&NoMapp=0
Of course what card you get will be determined by your budget, patience and the rest of your components. If you've got a pci-e motherboard with something like an amd athlon 64 4000 with at least a gig of ram any of the latest cards will do.lazyaza.blogspot.com , http://www.lazyaza.com , ab0180.deviantart.com

Here is the difference between the two
GDD3
GDDR3DDR III is the name of the new DDR3 standard that's being developed as the successor to DDR2.
In February, 2005, Samsung Electronics announced a prototype 512 MByte DDR3 chip that will run at 1066 MHz (the same speed as the front side bus of the fastest Pentium 4 Extreme Edition, and around the speed of an Athlon 64's HyperTransport bus).
The memory comes with a promise of a power consumption reduction of 40% compared to current commercial DDR2 modules, due to DDR III's 80 nanometer technology, that allows for lower operating currents and voltages (1.5 V, compared to DDR2's 1.8 V or DDR's 2.5 V). Small, power-conserving devices such as notebooks could perhaps benefit from DDR III technology with extended battery life.
Theoretically, these modules could transfer data at the effective clockrate of 800-1067 MHz, compared to DDR2's current range of 500-667 MHz or DDR's range of 200-550 MHz.
The DDR3 specification is expected to be publicly available in mid 2006. Supposedly, Intel has preliminarily announced that they expect to be able to offer support for it near the end of 2007. AMD's roadmap indicates their own adoption of DDR3 will come in 2008.
The GDDR3 technology, with a familiar name but an entirely dissimilar technology, has been in use for quite some time now in high-end graphic cards such as the GeForce 6600 GT's and above, or the ATI Radeon X800's and above, and is used as main system memory on the Xbox 360.
Whilst many have claimed to have not noticed a significant difference, and raging debates exist on this topic, DDR3 is sure to set new performance benchmarks and increase speeds significantly.

Based on that I would go for the cheaper card.GDDR3 (Graphics Double Data Rate, version 3) is a graphics card-specific memory technology, designed by ATI Technologies.
It has much the same technological base as DDR2, but the power and heat dispersal requirements have been reduced somewhat, allowing for higher-speed memory modules, and simplified cooling systems. Unlike the DDR2 used on graphics cards, GDDR3 is unrelated to the upcoming JEDEC DDR3 specification. This memory uses internal terminators, enabling it to better handle certain graphics demands. To improve bandwidth, GDDR3 memory transfers 4 bits of data per pin in 2 clock cycles.
Despite being designed by ATI, the first card to use the technology was nVidia's GeForce FX 5700 Ultra, where it replaced the DDR2 modules used up to that time. The next card to use GDDR3 was nVidia's GeForce 6800 Ultra, where it was key in maintaining reasonable power requirements compared to the cards predecessor, the GeForce 5950 Ultra. ATI began using the memory on its Radeon X800 cards. GDDR3 is Sony's choice for the Playstation 3 gaming console's graphics processor, although the main system memory will be comprised of XDR_DRAM. Microsoft's Xbox 360 will also be packaged with 512 MB of GDDR3 Memory, and is helping to pioneer the use of this memory as standard system memory rather than only video memory.
The DDR3 memory is a different technology from GDDR3.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GDDR3I am not bothered by the fact that I am unknown. I am bothered when I do not know others.

Im my opinion wait a few months till the next round of cards then these cards will be cheaper if you cant wait get a 7800GTX 512 then oc it yourself if for some reason you might want it faster.

I prefer BFG myself, but you might wait and see if these early february releases drive prices down further.

It appears it will be.
And I prefer eVGA by far.$sql->Query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue != 0");

XFX are actually the coolest looking ones but they arent good overclockers, bfg are the most expensive for some reason.

01-01-2006 #15Overclocking is totally dependant on luck of the draw, not XFX or BFG.
