Seriously, I already have much love for Eminem for being raised in Detroit and what he has done so far in his career, but, I just watched him freestyle some extras off the set of "8 Mile" and, lets just say my jaw dropped further than hell itself.

Lil Wayne rapes. Everything from all the Carters to any of his mixtapes ( preferably Dedication 2).
Chamillionaire..ended Mike Jones career with 1 mixtape and is the best rapper out of Houston.
Kanye West I had a dream I can buy my way to heaven
When I awoke, I spent that on a necklace. Not too much else to say.
Three 6 Mafia --always comin up with somethin that sounds good in your car.

Nas has been my favorite for as long as I can remember, but I also like
KRS-One
Rakim
Eminem
Scarface
Juvenile
DMX
a few more, but my memory's kinda hazy atm. I'm not too up to date on the scene though, lately I've been listenin the a lot of Salsa, Bachata, and Reggaeton."My strategy has to be tragedy, catastrophe, and after this you'll call me your majesty..."

I liked Eminem a lot more before the Eminem Show, tho the Re-Up is very good in my opinion. He's still one of my favorites, tho. My other faves include (in no particular order):
Ice Cube (especially when he was angry at the man
)
Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle pwns, everything else... not so much)
Kanye
Biggy
Nas
Dr. Dre
Wu-Tang
Immortal Technique
Blackalicious
and others.

So far, Eminem has been on everyones list. Just goes to show that he might be the "best" mainstream rapper alive. (I say mainstream because there may be a lot of underground rappers who may be better)

I probably can´t remember half of my favourite rappers, but hereçs my list:
Redman
Method Man
Wu-Tang Clan
Icarus
Saukrates
ABS
DMX
I´m not putting Eminem on the list, even though Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LP were great, but I lost my respect to him after The Eminem Show.
Thanks to Svetlana for the sig and avatar.

OK, heres my list:
2pac
A ****in legend, had great social commentary skills!
B.I.G
Great flow, **** funny, but can be equally vicious
Xzibit
His old stuff, the last album was pretty bad compared to his earlier stuff!
NWA
All of them, from MC Ren to Ice cube. Ren has an amazing flow with equally good lyrics! Dre, no need for anything to be said here. Ice Cube, gotta say that he's underrated, he has amazing metaphors in his rhymes since predator. EazyE, was the posterboy of NWA, RIP.
Redman
Dont know about his earlier stuff, but Red Gone Wild is great. I laughed at the ice cream man skit, this guy is hilarious!
Eminem
Great rapper, brings lyrics to the table with good intensity, but Encore was pretty mediocre and Re-Up was mostly a launch pad for other lablemates like Ca$his.
50 cent
Up until the massacre, I could consider him great, but now, his genre seems to be club music. His mixtapes with the unit were great and his first album Power of the Dollar, was pretty good, but what defines him is GRODT.
Snoop Dogg
Love his ability to switch his flow multiple times in a song, his recent album, Blue Carpet Treatment, was pretty good compared to the music he put out after doggystyle.
Nas
Chamillionaire
Kanye west
JayZ
etc.

Chamillionaire
Royca da 59 - Can't believe nobody has mentioned him yet, one of the most underrated artists out there.
Lupe
Kanye
TI
Nas
Tupac
Twista
Bone Thugs
Think I've missed a few, but whatever. Lil Wayne is trash music BTW. His lyrics are weak and theres nothing special about his flow. Its just 100% commercial.
