I mean, wow. I was really mega excited about this game. It was hyped up heaps and now that I have it..I hate it. Thats all I can say, I truly hate Warhawk. Everything from the controls to the game play, I just really don't like the way any of its put together. What a wast of $70. I'm afraid the wait for a good PS3 game continues.

I don't understand why people would pay $59.99 plus tax for something they can purchase for $39.99 with no tax. For the $39.99, this game was the best investment on the PS3 so far. If you purchase the retail version, you have to take into account that you paid for a bluetooth headset and didn't just purchase a game. Some people find not having a single player mode makes the game feel incomplete but the multiplayer experience is definitely top knotch now that all the major problems have been fixed. I think this will be one of those games that people play for at least a year before things cool down and that's worth the $39.99 for me. I hope they release a map pack here and there to keep it going.

This game seems fantastic to me but I have reservations about spending money on something that I will eventually not be able to play unless I have friends over my place. I do love the Warhawk franchise and I am sure this is an excellent game but without a single player mode I do not think I will be purchasing this game any time soon. I do however have it in my gameznflix queue so I can try it out (whenever it's avaliable) and maybe that will sway me but I doubt it.

Yes you are the only one.
That and you are a moron for paying $70 for something not knowing what it was.
If you wanted any sympathy you should have made your protest while the game was still suffering major widespread issues.
Now that it works and the majority of people are playing happily you will be hard up finding someone who agrees with you.
The best I can gather, given you aren't complaining about bugs, is that you do not like this type or style of game.
If that is the case then you are even stupider than earlier suggested for paying $70 for a game you obviously know very little about.
Have any of you fools requesting WarHawk refunds thought about talking to the guy
upstairs about the brain you were given at birth?
You probably won't get much, but it doesn't look like you had much to begin with....

Yeah, you may be one of the 5 people that don't like this game. This game is classy and now that the stats issue is fixed, at least for most people, then this game really has no problems. This is easily the most fun to be had on the PS3 to date.

Didn't we have to provide a credit card to sign up for the PSN network? If not, isn't there an option to not save the credit card information or use those point cards (maybe they haven't come out yet). I guess in the US people use credit cards a lot because there are a lot of protections for unauthorized charges.

Wow no need to be such a jerk, I was simply expressing my opinion and if you felt that my opinion was wrong then simply do not reply.
And just so you know, the game only came out today in my area so how would I have complained about it earlier if it wasn't even out in my area?
And just for your information, I've done plenty of research on the game and I am a fan of this genre. the game was just simply too over hyped.

Warhawk is awesome, and as someone mentioned,
maybe you just suck at the game? It makes it a bit more fun if you're actually good at it

They should have an AA Meeting for people who are addicted to this game. I'll be first in line, I tell ya I never been addicted to a game like this before. How can you not, if you don't play one day then your rankings go way down plus trying to get all the ribbons, badges and medals equals no sleep. I think I'm going to quit my job and just play full time to keep up with some of these people who already logged in 90 plus hours. **** high school kids, get a job or something.
Anyways to reply to your post, I'm sorry that you're not enjoying this game you have your reasons, it might be hard for some of us to understand you but it's your own **** opinion and good luck finding a game you'll love. Game on."The only way to bag a classy lady is to give her two tickets to the gun show..."

Strangely you have only pushed the point I was making.
If it only became available yesterday in your area then you had PLENTY of time to do better research than you claim to have done, and more than PLENTY of time to pick up on all the negativity the game has received and thus triple check your interest before committing to a financial purchase you may regret later.
Sorry if I come across as a jerk, and you are entitled to your opinion (for the record your opinion is not wrong, as opinions cannot be... thats what makes them opinions), I am just tired of all the people who buy a game and then complain about their wasted money.
I have nothing against you personally, so please don't take any of this personally.
In my day, we had no such luxuries as the internet to get all of the detailed information you have access to.
We read a magazine, looked at some pictures, and hoped for the best.
"Hoping for the best" in this day and age is pathetic.
Regardless, when we did run into a bad apple we didn't bitch and moan as if we just found out Santa isn't real and start demanding things we don't deserve like only your generation is capable
(well not really but its fun for old people to say stuff like that).
We just dealt with it.
The fact you didn't bother to use the internet, rent the game, play the beta, go to a friends house, or use any of the many many other near unlimited venues accessible to you to prevent this very occurrence does not make you smart, but coming here afterwards and crying about it and displaying your ignorance for the world to see is even less smarterrer.
If you truly are a fan of this type of game, yet don't like WarHawk, please enlighten the rest of us... what is like WarHawk yet better?

Funny, you ask me to not take any of this personally in the begging of your post, yet towards the end your basically calling me dumb, and you expect me to not take it personally or have any harsh feelings towards you and your posts?
You tell me I should have had extra time to do more research on this game. Who can honestly say they go by IGN or Gamespot reviews anymore. I see quite a few people on these forums saying they never trust reviews and I too, am the same. The game was simply over hyped and I got caught up in it. Now I know there are thousands of people that believe this is the best game for the PS3 but I strongly disagree.
And once again, I'm simply stating my opinion on what I think of the game, not as you refer to it as "Bitching and moaning"
If you can not make a post without attacking me please stop posting in this thread. I'm not here to start arguments.
And lastly I believe that Battlefield series is better than Warhawk. But I guess your going to be calling me dumb for saying that now aren't ya?

to the question "am i the only one that thinks warhawk is a huge letdown?" the answer is 'yes'. The learning curve is a pain cuz there's no single player to practice up on, also if you are not used to the online pace, then you're going to get owned when you first pick it up. It's ok, we all go through it, unless of course you've spent a few years playing Unreal then you might learn quicker, but the gameplay is flawless, it runs fast with no lag at all, other than on some private servers. Also where the hell do you get the 70 dollars??

The game is not a let down to me because I knew what to expect because I got to play in the BETA. I think it's an ok game. The only way I really enjoy it is in the Warhawk. The ground combat leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion.
I can see how some people that weren't in the BETA could be let down by this game. It is massively hyped, partially I believe because everyone is starving for games. It is not the best online ps3 experience to date in my opinion. Resistance has that locked down...in fact Warhawk surprised me that it didn't come with many of the online functionality that exists in Resistance, especially since Warhawk is multiplayer only. It lacks a party system, an invite system, a messaging system, and there is no way to get on squad channels for communication purposes. Those things might seem minor to some folks, but it's that type of polish in an online game that I'm suprised Warhawk is missing.
I still play Warhawk about every night, it's a fun game for me as long as I can get a Warhawk.

Just practice more and you'll get better at it the controls are okay, just spend more time practicing and that way you wont get your butt kick by me or the other good players
