No PAL TV-OUT from PSP Lite?

Does the PSP Lite only output TV in NTSC format? Is there no PAL output supported?

That seems a major shortcoming for U.K. users.

he didnt hear it anywhere! he read it!

its in the manual for the new psp where it tells you about how to do the video thing! i wondered the same thing about the Ntsc thing til i remembered most tv's made now support both formats!

but PSP games are region-free so it should be able to play on any TV

It's the signal output from the PSP is the issue, not the games themselves.

I checked, my HDTV can set the signal between PAL and NTSC so it's not a disaster for that particular telly anyway.
