well i have been watching this site for a while, and people seem to be showing there hd tv, asking if it is good for ps3, or asking if they should get it, or if it supports 1080p....well i thought maybe we shoud create a thread for everyone to post there tvs on and people can comment on them...theres just one rule...

Please do not post your tv and just not comment on anyone elses tv, and if u post, please comment on atleast 3-4 tvs above you, thanks

give some info on the actuall tv as well, not just the tvs picture....we can see a tv by going on google, we need to no the info, like is it 720p? 1080i? 1080p?...

persoanlly i have simlar tv to that one, just has the side speakers, the newer version, the one with 1080p....but this tv is decent non the less....good for gaming....tv looks nice...

Okay, if you want to get all technical about it

The set's native resolution is 720p.

Oh and by the way, there are maybe only 2 televisions on the market right now that can actually except a 1080p signal.

99% of the "supposed" 1080p sets cannot actually accept a true 1080p signal. (Something manufacturer's conviently forgot to mention in their ads )

Again, I'll say it, there isn't a TV on the market with 1080p inputs. The engines do it, the LCD's do it, but the inputs do not. Its wasted. The same thing happened with the new Mitsu LCD RPTV's - some people even say the 720p sets look BETTER than the 1080p versions. HDMI's hardware specification is sufficient for 1080p but it isn't utilized yet except in the case of Sony's top of the line Qualia and possibly some other topend projectors. Either way, broad-casters will not be broadcasting anything in 1080P nor will the movie industry anytime soon - like 8-12 years at least.

I can guarentee you that unless you have two TV's side by side, one with "true" 1080P and one with either 1080i/720P, 99% of people won't be able to tell the difference.

It's a Sony 60WF655 I believe. Bought it this past summer 'since Sony was having a sale on all their HD televisions. It cost somewhere in the neghbourhood of $5G's but that's Canadian dollars.

The cost of HD televisions have really come down in price since then - believe it or not, so you could probably pick this one up (or something similar from Sony) for about $2500 US + tax.

This HDTV is one of the very few available 1080p HDTVs on the market that pulls out the 1080p resolution @ 60 fps and not only 30 fps (frames per second) like the most 1080p labeled HDTVs do...

Shred0r, I want to buy that monitor/tv but I don't know if it's worth it. I've heard that it's not so good for gaming and fast moving objects. Is this true??? Please tell me your true opinion about it since this is my #1 choice right now!!! I really don't care how it performs with a SD signal (480i/p) because I want it for HD gaming (PS3) and HD movies (BD on PS3). I've also been looking into the SED TVs, but there's not much info (price) and it would have to wait at least another year. Anyway, please give your honest opinion about your Westinghouse 37" TV. The specs, I've seen them a million times but I have never seen one in action. How does Killzone look on your tv??? If you have GT4, does it look good in 1080i??? SORRY there's too many questions but I'm really interested in this tv because of the price and the 1080p native resolution. Oh, and I can't show off my HDTV because I don't have one yet.

Actaully, I was pretty sure Blu-Ray movies were going to be 1080p from the start, or atleast some of them. Infact I think I read that on this site somewhere. I may agree with the broadcasters part though.

Resistance 2 Beta Live

According to various reports, the Resistance 2 Beta has gone live and members of PSU (PlayStation Underground) are receiving emails to download the beta application through the PSN.

This means that there are people right now, enjoying 60 player online battles and maybe even 8 player Co-op. So check your emails and if you didn't get in, don't worry, as there will be plenty of other opportunities in the future.

For more information, Insomniac Games has launched the Resistance 2 Beta website which users can access here. Stay tuned as there are bound to be leaks of the beta in the coming days.
