I may just not see the post about it or a thread named Sony and IBM having Cell troubles? but how come no one posted about it when clearly everyones so giddy about the "NEW" cell. Looks like what everyone thinks of what they were going to be paying for the PS3 can be bumped up a lil.

PS3 event confirmed for October 19
The previously rumoured October PlayStation 3 event has been confirmed by Sony. Currently known as the "Gamer's Day", the event will be held on October th 19th in San Francisco, a gamepro.com article writes.
It is still unclear if the event will be a public one or a private one, however, it is very likely that the event will be the last big one before the PlayStation 3 launches this November. Sony has already confirmed that the main focus will be PlayStation 3 games, hinting that attendees will be offered playable demos. New screenshots and trailers may also be released.
One of the three major consoles fighting for next-gen console war winner, the PlayStation 3 is scheduled to be launched on November the 11th in Japan and on November the 17th in North America.
