Nobody remembers Path of Neo? The only ps2 game to do large scale bump mapping?!
Or Transformers for the ps2 which had more trees and foliage being rendered than far cry on the xbox!!!
Or VF4 EVO, cited by VF fans as the best, most technical fighting game ever made:

what a fuckin' hard question......hmmm let's see. i can't really decide between Devil may Cry 3:SE or MGS3 Subsistence. i'd prolly go with the latter, since it came with the first two MG games as well as a better camera for snake eater

Let's be honest: You sleep with anything that walks on two legs. Sometimes, you're not even that discriminating

Ps1 i was excited because nintendo was working on a CD based system. and that blew my mind with the games, so that led into the great great great ps2. and Metal gear Solid was pretty influential, by the means of EPIC storytelling.

I would say Medal of Honor Frontline, because it was the predecessor to Call of Duty. The original COD was developed in response to Frontline, and its PC counterpart Allied Assault. This has led to the scripted FPS to be the most popular genre today
During E3 I check out the booth babes, and if that's wrong...then maybe I'm missing the point of E3

For me it would be probably GTA San Andreas. I play it very often and that was the only game I was addicted to.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursors Legacy. This was and still is my favourite game of all time becasue it had an engaging story and the game was just beautiful and just fun in so many ways. Jak II and Jak 3 were still extremely good games but I prefered Jak with the awesome Eco powers. I'm still waiting for a Jak 4 Goddamnit!

The most influential game for me personally is Final Fantasy VII on the PS one.
It was my first Final Fantasy game and RPG that i played, and i was absolutely mesmerised by the sheer scale of the game. The plot, the characters, the soundtrack (have the official soundtrack on my iphone!) all combined to, in my opinion, create the greatest game I ever played.
This game got me in to the RPG genre and have played many more great games that if it hadn't been for FF VII i may not have played.

Most influential games in my opinion are,
PS1
Tomb Raider (Brought an open world experience comparable to Super Mario 64)
Final Fantasy VII (First game that ever emotionally affected me)
Gran Turismo (First racer to be the closest thing to real life)
PS2
Grand Theft Auto 3 (First game to offer an open world with no rules)
God of War (Showed that even an old console can still deliver)Last edited by Lethal_NFS; 07-23-2012 at 13:59.
