    PS3 DVD Playback issue

    lil help!!!!

So an annoying little problem has surfaced while using my PS3 to play DVDs.

1.) the XMB (DVD playback menu) keeps popping up randomly. I've set both of my sixaxes across the room (b/c I thought maybe a button was acidently being pushed) and the menu just keeps popping up and I have to get up and hit triangle to get rid of it. Very annoying.

2.) Also, the DVDs appear to skip forward a lot. This also happens frequently and to DVDs that are in pristine condition.

has anyone else encountered these problems?
    Any solutions?

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
    Trust me, it's sad

never seen either of these problems. Sounds like a problem with the controller sending signals on its own not with movie playback itself. Try turning off the controllers when watching a DVD and see if that fixes it? If not, try resetting the console.

I been having this problem also with DVD playback, since buying my PS3. Just been to lazy to try to figure out the problem.

    I am living with it.

Haven't seen this one on mine. But, turn off your controllers before you watch a movie to be safe.

I only watch DVDs on my PS3, and can't say I've ever encountered this. Odd.

But I do remember a problem a while back where the Triangle button was going crazy.

    Maybe be related.
