If you go to their "show floor plan" section then to Playstation on the drop down menu, there is a booth rendering with an PS3. This doesn't mean anything new will be said about the PS3, but it at least confirms the PS3 will play a part at CES.

All I have to say is Sony had to keep things a secret because it creates hype. I bet this event (CES 2006) is nothing new, in terms of information. When Sony makes its own conference in FEB. then we will know everything. Feb. is the date to be excited about.

SXRD is a new panel television developed by sony, this is one of the only tv's that can get up to 1080p.

Knowing Sony and knowing Ken duh they want to wait till the very last sec. Also bc I believe it gonna go boom! all out and show us RSX with ray tracing and etc..

They might tho stll show alot at ces. But hard to tell bc they want to wait but ppl want to know even if we could jsut know alittle more or anything.

Any announcements concerning the PS3 would still be held in the theater area, the booth area is just to show off hardware and software (which has at least one PS3 on display from the booth rendering).

Yes I know. Not the two old SXRD tho. They do 1080p but the hdmi dont support 1080p or it was a mess up.

This is a fact and Sony said they are going to upgarde the two old SXRD models to support 1080p on the hdmi. Maybe add 120fps! but prolly not lol.

Ya not to put a "sag" on the moment but if we don't hear anything about the PS3 in the keynote speech then I fear we won't hear any major facts about the console. This page shows the conferences that SONY will be holding and not one is about gaming.

Not one of them have any mention of the Playstation both, which we know for a fact that it has at least one or more PS3 systems on display. I doubt Sony would go to CES, set up and PS3 both and then make no mention about it at all. Doesn't necessarily mean it will be new info but I doubt Sony would go through the trouble and not mention it.

Well there is obviously gonna be a PS3 presence at CES because theres a playstation section (with PS3 in it) and a pic of a PS3 booth somewhere on the site.

Very nice, something that actually can show proof of the PS3 being mentioned in the CES, which of course, will be very good news for all anticipating and waiting for new and important PS3 news. I can say, out of being an opinion, that it looks like Sony is on schedule.

And that should put to rest all the "they won't talk about it nonsense". There was a press release earlier on their site, going over what was talked about today in a press briefing. No mention of PS3 there.

But I imagine they are letting the big dog, Mr. Stringer, strut his stuff tomorrow with it.
