Large breakfast, medium lunch and a small dinner. Exercise is a must, eat slightly less and exercise slightly more. You will undoubtedly lose weight.

    Drink plenty of water.
    It prevents fluid retention

I hear ya I can't really eat breakfast for some reason, but luckily I also have an extremely high metabolism. You could eat oatmeal or a healthy cereal with some hard boiled eggs, no yoke and a glass of orange juice or some other kind of citrus drink. The egg is great because its heavy and will keep you filled for a while and the juice will help you digest it. Fruit is also good, but only in the morning and never at night!

The large breakfast is key to losing weight so try and force yourself to eat it. One things for sure do NOT be concerned with weight. Your still growing and developing muscle mass which weighs more than fat. Inches are you goal. Don't weigh yourself so much as you should really be putting a tape measure around that belly of yours.

Set your goal to where you look good, not a particular weight, although I'd say 200 would not be pushing it. Don't be afraid of sit ups either.

Edit: Well, I guess I can't help you here, as I weigh more than you, which dreamsindigital seemed to miss, but oh well. I knew you wanted to lose more than 10, but he took it the wrong way, now if you want to read what I originally wrote, you will have to read me quoted in his post.

And, for others like him who don't get it because this is the internet, YES, that was a joke.

He said his starting goal is 10 pounds, and he would move forward from there. 10 pounds is a start... try to be supportive...

Diets don't work...period. Unless they are complemented by exercise. The reason is that your body adjusts to the ever decreasing amounts of calories that you take in. So, what ends up happening is that you end up eating lesser and lesser with no visible effects.

Also, when you diet, you eat less, which means your body burns up muscles as energy instead of fat. And you end up being worse off because now you also feel tired all the time.

I would say, instead of going on a diet. Eat a lot, but only healty food, like eat meat and some bread and some fats etc. But work out for an hour and keep your heart rate over your target heart rate during that hour. Dosen't matter how you get that done, meaning, you could do weights or cardio, whatever. The important thing is that your heart rate should be elevated during that hour.

I did try dieting and it didn't work for me. I followed the above routine and I lost 20 pounds in about 2.5 months. I was at 220 when I started.

Get rid of the junk food, Pizza is fine as long as it's not to much, Add some fruit to your Breakfast, and veggies to your Dinner, Do not eat at night around bed time. o yea and work out, Weights and Cardio. That's all i can say about this, I'm doing the same thing starting tomorrow. I weigh 270 I'm planning on going down to 195-205 area. The last time i worked out was 3 years ago i was at 240 and made my way down to 180ish in a month, It's easy if you can stick to it.

It was clearly a joke, but thanks anyway Mr. Stuckup, I edited it for you personally. Did you not read that I weigh more than him..? When wasn't I supportive? Oh well, can't appease everybody.

Go for it man, I just can't help that I don't enjoy exercising alone, but you play a sport, so I don't see why weight loss is an issue to begin with. I don't eat healthy, and I never exercise, but I remain the same weight, so I can't really say anything except what has been said.

    Helpful tip for you
whenever you're peckish just grab an apple , they have little calories

Also drink water throughout the day, usually when you think 'hmm i'm hungry' more often than not, you're actually just thirsty, because most people are always dehydrated (people in general dont drink enough water)

Also you don't have to go overboard on the exercise, it'll just tire you out, instead, as long as you're walking to work/college (if it's not too far) or walking to the store or whatever, you will lose weight.

Also if you're planning on eating lots of salads and things for your meals, then chuck in some cooked meats and other little bits to vary the taste and make it more interesting, because otherwise you will grow to hate the sight of salad if you don't vary it a little bit

Apart from that, just be sensible with what you eat, we're all fully capable of knowing what's good for us and what's bad for us, so just eat lots of good foods, but don't starve yourself of some of the bad stuff, we all deserve to indulge every now and then, and that's fine.
