Today EA Sports announced that FIFA 08 will be released on PlayStation 3, as well as every other platform you can think of. This makes it the first FIFA title for Sony's black box.

Along with that announcement, EA Sports confirmed that Ronaldinho would once again star on the box art of the football/soccer game. In different regions other stars will join Ronaldinho on the cover, such as Miroslav Klose on the German box cover and Sergio Ramos on the Spanish box cover. EA has yet to announce the other joining stars for other regions.

The company also stated they are motion capuring the body movements, playing style and individual moves of various athletes right now. For instance, Frank Ribery and Florent Malouda are now motion capturing for the new FIFA game.

FIFA 08 will ship this Autumn on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo DS, the Nintendo Wii and mobile cellphones. Stay tuned for more news on FIFA 08.
