Ubisoft announce patch for Assassin's Creed

Ubisoft have confirmed that due to certain issues on the PS3 version of Assassin's Creed, they are currently working on a patch.

"Following our recent statement regarding the freeze issues that some consumers are facing with Assassin’s Creed on PlayStation 3, we can confirm that we are actively working on a game update. This update will help improve the stability of the game and will be released as soon as possible. In the meantime thank you for your ongoing feedback and patience." - UK Community Manager

However, as has been the issue with other projected patches, Ubisoft was unclear as to how gamers who aren't online through the PS3 will be able to update their game. Also, there is no specific time at which the new patch will be available. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information.

    they should have held it back to xmas and have deserved their great review that ignores all the problems

    Sweet so by the time I get this for Christmas everything should be perfect. Hopefully!!!!

    Finally, something will be done about this - my copy has frozen 5 times since I started playing!

    why is it that most of ps3 games have problems. i never hear problems with xbox titles

    The freezing issues are a pain sometimes, I'm glad they are fixing it. Has anyone had a problem with Uncharted freezing?

    the game is simply terrible ! there is no patch that could change this game from one of the biggest videogame flops to a top game !!!!

    i dont see why reviewers gave it such high scores really shouldnt get higher than an 8/10

    hah... i knew something would be wrong. the way u see it, the MAJOR companies; EA, Ubisoft, etc, cant seem to make a game that doesnt have something wrong with it.

    TO the chap who said the 360 has no problems, what about this red ring of death?

    and anyway, the update was released sometime in january/february i believe
