PS3 BioShock "coming together really well"

Gamespot has bagged some quality time with the PlayStation 3 conversion of ocean-bound art deco masterpiece Bioshock, and everything's looking pretty solid.
The preview describes the visuals as "comparable" to those of the Xbox 360 version, while noting "some subtle differences in color and texture" and a few nice extra touches like the manual cycling of load screen stills.
The PS3 game has a noticeable advantage in the controls department, apparently. "The controls map intuitively to the PlayStation 3 controller and feel a bit better. The PS3's D pad seems like a much better fit for the hacking minigame. The controller's rumble support also had a nice feel to it."
Gamespot also had the chance to delve into the new Survivor mode, which offers "a greater level of challenge that forces you to be smarter about how you play the game," and the much-vaunted Puzzle Rooms, which are pleasantly varied in scope and intensity: "while some, such as the Ferris wheel, we've seen before and can be done in short order, others will require more work."
All in all, then, there's plenty to look forward to when the game ships this October. "...the game is coming together really well,” the preview concludes. “The faithful conversion of the main game is looking good and might even be sharper in places."

cha-ching.....thats what someone would be saying IF THERE WERNT ALREADY SOOO MANY QUALITY GAMES TO BUY!!!!! Do u think they all mean to release at the same time!??

This was a decent game on PC and 360.. nothing special.. and far from being the GOTY as it was voted for on several sites. Im sure plenty of PS3 fans will enjoy the game.. but i don't think it will be a big seller as most players who wants it will already have played it on 360 or PC.

Hahaha, i've got plenty of money to get ALL the games I want this season =D, LBP, R2, Pure, Midnight Club: LA, etc...
I really can't decide on whether to buy Bioshock or not tho :S
I've seen and heard some good things about it, but just don't know. What you guys think?

I would be more inclined to purchase it if they didn't take the easy route and make it run and looks "as good as the 360". I don't want it to look the same and run teh same if it's been a YEAR AND A HALF SINCE THOSE RELEASES! I want it to look better, run better etc. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing game and it's going to be great for the PS3.

There's gonna be some craZy gaming hours next month :) Bioshock, FarCry2 SilentHillV, LittleBigPlanet, Dead Space!!! not to mention November : PrinceOfPersia, TRUnderworld, Resistance2.... oh and Mirror's Edge too! My wallet is gonna CRY like never before LOL

"Might even be sharper in places" It fecking well wants to be !!! That is why I forked out the smalll fortune for the superior console !!! Am looking forward to this title though, Did look good on the other console.

dang you guys are hard to please! didnt it look awesome on the 360? isnt awesome good enough. I'm getting it fo show. If you really need to pop in a ps2 game to make you feel better about the ps3 graphics. besides I'm sure we all know that graphics arent everything. right??!!!
