Uncharted replica gun prompts action from Sony

Sony Computer Entertainment has said it is currently investigating the source of a replica gun based on Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune PlayStation 3 videogame.

An online retailer is currently offering the product, advertised as 'PS3 Uncharted Drake's Fortune Full Metal M92 Airsoft Gun', for approximately USD 166.88, accompanied by artwork from the adventure title.

Speaking to Gamesindustry.biz, Sony stated that the product has not been endorsed and has announced it will be taking appropriate action once the source of the item has been determined.

"The Drake's Gun is not licensed or in any way sanctioned by SCE and one we certainly do not condone,” said the company.

"We are investigating the source of this product and will proceed with the most appropriate action.”

    haha I want one! :P I'd not bother to pay that much for it though, got better stuff to spend money on haha. (GTAIV, new keyboard and memorycard adapter for the ps3, and of course my grilfriend)

    I thought there was something funny about this product, It just seemed odd to sell a replica gun based one a game that featured like a dozen different weapons. Glad to see SOny's taking legal action against someone trying to make a buck off their property.

    psn id: gingo..... ooooo sony sending out the lawyers to get the fraudsters lol, well its usually other people trying to sue sony so this is a refreshing change
