GTA IV Trophy patch dated

Rockstar has confirmed via its latest Social Club email that the much-anticipated Trophy patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV will be released on October 27.

The full list of Trophies was released earlier this month, and can be seen in our earlier news post here. It is currently known whether or not the patch will be retroactive.

Stay tuned for more details as we get them.

    Better be retroactive as it took fking ages to complete the game and don't want to do all that again!! No doubt it wont be tho......

    Where's the fun in that? ^ The whole point of the Trophies is so you can enjoy playing through the game again, I can't wait.

    i haven't finished it yet... but im not starting over to far into the game. ill just get the trophies i can from where i am... maybe the trophies will put some excitement into a very boring game (boring IMO)

    finished the story in 2-3weeks, been waiting for some reason to do it again. the other way. trophies 6months after release, why not?

    This game got boring too fast. I played it for about 2 weeks and it has been collecting dust ever since. Might pop it back in to see what the trophies are about.

    Boring? Rubbish? what? This game is exellent, one of the best on this generation so far, I can't believe people are slating it, i am def going to play this again to get some trophies, have to finish Bioshock first though.

    Played it for about a week, finished it and I don't care to suffer through another play through thank you.  They should try patching the driving physics and then I might consider actually playing GTA IV again.  I have a feeling the people who think this game is the greatest are all under age player's, I could be wrong but for me it was a big let down.

    I don't think i'll play through again just to get trophies, i liked the game, and i still play it online from time to time, but i wont be sitting through the story again, when really the trophies are a little pointless to me.

    I think the online part of the game would have to be retroactive but the single player will have to be played through again and I'll try it out again during the next game drought.

    This game is good but it takes a ride in the trunk compered to gta san andreas, scratch that, it dosen't even get in the car. Trophies are a good excuse to play this again.

    I read this on IGN... they said some crazy thing like zombies in multiplayer released with this trophies patch.  I was like, wtf? Zombies in GTA... weird. We'll see if there is some truth to it soon enough.

    sort out the lag / random jumping @ 28 there is an option to have a zombie costume it makes you have grey skin scars and all he wears is yellow rockstar underpants. I HATE THE ZOMBIES ON GTA4 KILL 'EM ALL

    there are multiple paths in the story, if you didnt play it more than once or with multiple game saves thenchances are you didnt see everything. THAT is why trophiesare good for replay value. It would be great to have retroactive trophies but none of the game saves so far were desinged to chart EVERY thing you've ever done so certain trophies wouldnt be awarded even though you actually did what was required. That's why no one has been able to make retroactive trophies.

    I've wasted soooooo much time in liberty city and too many good games coming out, maybe when im bored i ll knock out a couple here and there

     Very exciting, but will have they implemented the custom soundtrack feature into the patch as well?  I would honestly rather have that than Trophies (not that the Trophy update isn't bad)...

    dont really play single player onthis anymore but still love playin online only problem is that now im playing far cry 2 and midnight club. and then fallout 3 friday so i probably wont get back into this game and do trophys until after christmas :s

    So trophys are just awards to show of with no rewards? Ide really rather have in-game music. This game really needs it.

    I didn't care about trophies until I started racking them up in Dead Space, so if and when I run out of games and money I'll revist GTAIV for more cuz I don't wanna be the only guy in HOME who doesn't have some trophies on his shelf in my pad.
