Hans Zimmer contributing to Crysis 2 score

on 17 March 2011

Celebrated music composer Hans Zimmer has teamed up with Borislav Slavov and Tilman Sillescu to contribute to the score for Crysis 2, publisher Electronic Arts has revealed.

Zimmer’s name should already ring a bell with most gamers, seeing as how he cobbled together the score for Activision’s hugely successful military shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Apart from that, he’s provided the music for a number of Hollywood blockbusters, including Inception and The Dark Knight.

Speaking on his decision to get involved with Crytek’s sci-fi sequel, Zimmer commented: “I was drawn to Crysis 2 because of Crytek’s passion for the project and the world they created.”

“And I am very happy with the outcome of our collaboration.”

Crysis 2 is due for release on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on March 22.
